Uttoxeter Golf Club

First time playing Uttoxeter and initially, the crossing of holes at the beginning seemed unusual (teeing off over greens), but we quickly settled in to the pattern, hole after hole of challenging up and downhill shots in a wonderful setting (the racecourse alongside was an added bonus). Well kept fairways and greens, exceptionally friendly staff and a surprisingly well-stocked shop, much better than my home club. Will definitely play again.

First time playing. Great course in good condition. Greens running well. Great value for money. Will definately be going back next year in the summer.

Played this for the first time today and what a cracking course.

A good mix of holes and lengths with a number of hazards to navigate. A lot of blind shots made this a real challenge. Found the greens to be quick.

Will definitely return.

Really pleased with the condition of the course maybe a tad to many blind holes for anyone who doesn't know the layout to well but that's just my opinion

A nice course, a few valleys and hills ,blind holes, this one has the lot ,oh ,and a race course next to it ,dont take my word go play it

Love this course, some great holes

Condition of course excellent. Played in a gale force wind so very challenging

Only downside was as I was on my own followed a 3 ball around first 11 holes waiting several minutes on each tea until eventually on the 11 th they let me through. Maybe it’s because 1 balls get no priority but it’s the sort of thing that gives golf a bad rap.

Overall though I will be back

I was surprised that golf now made 2 2balls into a 4ball. The club pro assisted with this.

The course was in good condition considering the prevailing weather. It is an interesting course with many blind shots and a challenging mix of holes. The major issue for us was that we were a 2 ball placed in the middle of a competition! Even worse the comp was a four person Texas scramble . The players competing in the comp were apologetic and informed us it was not worthwhile letting us through as we were in the middle of the pack!

It was disappointing that this tee time was offered and made little sense. The Pro Shop showed little interest in our feedback and the poor pace of play spoiled our enjoyment of the course as we were spending 10 to 15 minutes waiting on each tee.. Clearly we had been given a tee time that should not have been offered. This spoilt the day and seemed of little concern to the club.
