Enjoyable challenge
Course in great condition, greens were impressive, held the ball well when approaching, true & consistent whilst putting.
Father son
Absolutely amazing golf course perfect for all abilities challenging and fun
Fantastic
First time visitors. So we did struggle with the distances and were the greens were. 1st of all the course is in a fantastic condition yes the greens have been spike on the greens. 1 temporary tee but bunkers. Greens trees are all in a very good condition. Although it states the course is a short course it is very demanding on the legs as is very hilly. Most of the holes are up and down. The layout has a lot of cross over holes so be aware of golf balls. The staff are all very friendly and are doing there best getting everything up and running after the virus. So all in all a fantastic day out. Really enjoyed the course and yes we shall be returning possibly on a buggy next time. Thank you and good luck. Floyd
Fantastic course
Lovely quote course to have a relaxing round of golf but keep in the mind their are fast greens
Fantastic
I have to say this was one of the best courses I’ve had the privilege of playing, several fantastic holes especially the 12th great par 3. Course is in great condition with very fast greens. Not for the faint hearted as it very hilly. Opposite the pro shop was a hatch were they served food. So all in all a fantastic day out and we can’t wait to go back. Thanks
A furlong too short
Apart from the driving rain I found Uttoxeter Golf Club quite pleasurable, tee boxes in good shape, fairways decent too and the greens I thought were excellent the course itself is a little quirky and a bit on the short side, quite hilly so be prepared.
Great parkland layout
Lovely course, excellent greens.
Not long, but narrow, challenging, undulating.
Lovely layout with lots of mature trees and a couple of water features.
Beware the fast greens!
Totally amazed about the course.. Just beautiful... Friends first time playing here .. Both enjoyed it... Hilly and they thought it was hard work walking around.... We did enquire about buggies however the three parked up outside the pro shop were booked apparently... Or kept back for members... Practice putting green was slick.... And this was exactly how all the greens were.... Couldn't hold a wedge on the greens as they were so fast and slippery.... Slightly spoiled all our cards..... As chips and putts just skidded by... That aside great condition.
A great parkland course, excellent value
A great test of golf - not a long course, but really tight and challenging, with a need to be precise off the tee. Undulating and variable, with some great holes, great views, and excellent greens.
Course management the key
Playing here the first time. Pro-shop offers a hole-by-hole crib sheet and yardage cards - take them.
Was hillier than expected.
As with most courses, fairways look wider when viewed from the greens.
Fairways narrowed by trees but undergrowth sparse.
Use the slopes to your advantage.
We found pitching into greens difficult, with most running through.
All in all, great value for money
nice course
beautiful course, quite hilly in places, few fairways criss cross so with a full course could be busy but we played in the week and few players around. Greens goodl but not perfect. Really enjoyed the course, would play again.
Lot of blind holes but we were given a detailed pamphlet with info for every hole, which was a great idea and very useful.
GSNP Away Day
The welcome in the pro shop and club house afterwards was excellent very friendly and helpful, weather during our visit was excellent for golf and the course generally in good condition fairways and greens were excellent condition and well cared for. The course is not a long course but is not flat the undulations and shape to most holes give it the character and would suit most abilities, some areas where there is tees and greens crossovers means greater care has to be taken, on the whole very good day and well worth the visit we will return in the future.
Excellent course in excellent condition
It has been a while since we played here and had forgotten how lovely it was.
It’s a extremely hilly course so you will have a good work out as well as plenty of practice at hitting shots in some challenging lies
Just be wary that you play the 6th hole and don’t tee off on the 8th by mistake!!
Great golf club for many reasons
A fabulous course right alongside Uttoxeter race course. Very friendly staff in the pro shop set the day off well. The course was very well kept considering the time of year - nicely undulating fairways and true greens. I will definitely be going back many times in 2019 for sure.
Course in good condition
Course and all members of staff were very friendly
Tough but enjoyable course
This is a terrific course with some great views but be prepared for a hard walk as there are some tough climbs to get to those great views.
Lots of blind holes, particularly the first three so beware. Green in good nick and couldn't fault the overall condition.
Talking to members afterwards suggested this is one of the cheaper priced courses but it has the feel of a course that you'd expect to be more exclusive. would play here more often if it was closer to home.
Great condition
What great condition , especially for the dry weather we are having . Greens are in great condition . Played at the weekend got very busy as the day went on . Tee off at 07:24 . The only point not to be happy at was they only have 6 buggies and it is a hilly course . Make sure you book one if you want one.
Overall bang on great course , nice and friendly not to snooty either :)
Pre World Cup golf
Teed off early so we could get the World Cup quarter final. The guy in the pro shop was first class with his information about the course. I have played here before and considering the recent hot weather the course and the greens were in excellent condition, quite a few quirky holes which keep you thinking and having to try different shots. Will definitely play here again
