Weston Turville GC
Played there on 5th May as a 3 ball.
There was also a 3 ball in front of us and they were pretty new to the game as hitting the ball all over the place but we all have to start somewhere lol.
They never let us throw until they went to the wrong t box and teed off on the 18th.
We continue to the 15th and never saw them again, so the course in my opinion could do with more signage ie next t etc.
the greens had been fed so putting wasn’t great, some holes you t off across other fairways so need to watch out for other golfers.
That’s about it.
Peaceful tranquil course
If you can avoid the water you will have a great day at this beautiful course , lovely views and challenging greens , a well kept course with friendly staff
Absolutely Awful!
Course it's in extremely poor condition, half the holes are shut and they're all extremely waterlogged.
Temporary greens are in use, but they are made from what is normally the rough, so putting on it is uneven and you have no chance of guessing where your ball will go when you strike it.
I played 9 holes, and it felt like 10 too many.
Not a winter golf course
Didn’t expect much as it’s winter but this course is unplayable. Should be closed or no more than £10. Temporary greens are mud patches with an 8ft radius. It would be easier to play golf in a cow field.
Underwhelming
Sadly a course, supposedly under new ownership, but suffering the same old deficiencies and lack of player discipline and etiquette. The course was playable but showing nothing more than the basic minimum required to make it presentable.
Good value for money
All in all a a good value course , some good par 3 holes , albeit one temporary green on one , greens had been treated so unfair to judge on this , some strange walks between holes but some challenging par 4s , tee boxes a little rough, fairways were good and had drained well after the week of rain .
Weston Turville golf course
Played here on numerous occasions, close to home, it’s handy for after work.
A bit disappointed on this visit, payed summer prices but the whole course was temporary greens which was unnecessary as the conditions were good.
Only the 13th needed to be closed as it had standing water on the front edge.
Course Review
Great little course with extremely friendly and helpful staff.
Members also very welcoming and helpful.
easy walk
pleasant walking course which is flat.
A mix of short, long and dogleg holes
Played on Thursday (members only) no booking
Booked in error wrong time, lady in the pro shop was very sympathetic and helpful, she sorted things and I still managed to play, can’t thank her enough, or recommend the club highly enough.
It gets better everytime
Apparently it now has new owners who are investing and it shows. We attended yesterday as a visiting club..Hedsor GC.. and we're delighted with all aspects. Need to be mindful that caterering stops at 4pm, but if you know you can plan for it. Definitely our Club will be back to meet the course challenges. Thanks.
Slow play
Pro shop wasn’t open on arrival, clubhouse was shut at 6.15 so no refreshments after. Course was in good condition but play was slow due to poor etiquette was group in front.
Needs an overhaul
Great location, however greens were in a very poor condition slow and uneven esp for the time of year and a 24 deg temp. Layout is chaotic to say the least, constant crossing back and forth. Fairways were excellent however it was clear that investment in better greens is required. We would not play here again.
Mediocre Course
The course is generally ok, but they could do more to keep it looking and playing nice.
For example many of the water hazards look tired and dingy or are lacking water entirely and are now just mud holes.
Although the bunkers themselves are fine the rakes are old, rusty and with damaged handles. Additionally there are black dead areas on some of the greens.
This just makes the course look tired and in need of some TLC. It wouldn't take much to bring it up to spec so I wonder why they haven't bothered to do so.
