Windmill Village Golf Course
Nice course, on the short side, but still asks a few questions. Accuracy key on a few holes, but rough not too punishing. Little unclear where a couple of next tees were so some more markings would be good. Also difficult to see where White/Yellow/Red Tees are at present as markers are not obvious.
Overall definitely considered to be be value for money. Course/complex is clearly doing everything it can to keep 'business as usual' despite Covid-19 and should be applauded for that too.
Friendly staff nice course in great condition a very enjoyable golf course
For the price it was a great course
Enough challenges water bunkers around to make the course enjoyable pace was a bit slow but there’s little you can do about a couple of 4 balls.
Must admit I was a bit worried after the first few holes it was going to be very short started with 3 par 3’s however after that it opened up to slightly longer holes. Would definitely go back
The good the bad and the ugly
Course was in good shape, the layout is way too tight with too many par 3s and the pace of play was a joke - guys wanting 6hours to complete a par 69.
Double booked
Tee time clashed with a solo player, and with a fourball ahead of him, the first nine were a bit slow.
Decent course, tricky greens and some challenging holes.
Didn't try 'amenities' but mandatory to enter a score.
Would I go back, probably, but perhaps a week day.
Good course - spoilt by other golfers.
Round completely spoilt today buy groups of golfers slow playing and larking about on the course. More care needs to be taken to make sure people following etiquette. This was summarised by large groups of teenagers drinking on the practice green after completing round. Course was quite nice, but will not be returning.
Windmill Too Short
A well kept course. Nice surroundings to the holes and the greens were excellent. But , is more of a beginners course as the yardage is very low. Lots of Par 3s. A number of 290/325 Par 4s. It is very much a challenge of your short game. Nothing wrong with that, but if you want more, it is not at Windmill Village.
Short
At 4500 yards you can’t really call it a proper golf course. Most of the par 4 holes are 200 and something yards and there is no need for any of the longer clubs really. The 3 par-3 start only really serves to back the course up nicely.
Some areas of the course are nice and they do a decent job of maintaining it. However other areas in contrast really need some money spent on.
Interesting
Some tight par 3s. Very busy so took forever to get round.
Work trip
Stayed at the windmill village hotel on a work trip and played the golf course. Was a testing but enjoyable course and really enjoyed it.
Bunkers were out of play but understandable with the wether recently and time of year. Really good course will play again.

Of course, that's why it's in golfshake's top 100 courses to visit for 2020, which is based on reviews left by golfers. Way in front of other courses in the area in terms of condition, whenever I've played it the greens are rapid.
Still, if you like 400 yard boring straight par 4's (driver, 3 wood) and flat, easy greens the windmill isn't for you. If you do like a challenge, it is.
What a stupid review -
I take it you shot a low score?
