Woldingham Golf Club

This golf course was slightly below average maintenance standards in all regards. The greens were okay, but shaggy on the afternoon I played.

Bunkers were filled with stones throughout, and could do with some major sifting. I hit a greenside bunker shot and my sand wedge bounced off of the hard clay, under only 1 inch of sand. Seeing as how sand traps are hazards, I don’t expect them to be in pristine condition, but these were borderline unplayable.

Tee boxes were nice, but need major divot refilling.

The course is extremely dry! The fairways and rough look thirstyyyy. I understand there has been a serious lack of precipitation since the end of February, but the sprinklers need to be utilized.

Pace of play was decent for myself as a single.

There is a great view on the back nine from the tee box of the elevated par 3.

Great course, beautifully located within the valley setting and a variety of holes which never cease to challenge - great value for money too

Nice layout, easily accessible with friendly staff and members. A great option for pay and play with enough challenging holes and length to keep all levels entertained.

Greens were a little bobbly and dry in places but ready to be cut down in a couple of weeks for summer.

Will play again

I have played here for years and they have alway maintained the course well!

But the prices do not reflect the course, they just got greedy after Covid and load the first tee as much as they can.

For £5 more on the hot deals you could play Hever Castle which sorts the players from the weekend hackers.

All that said! It’s a great place to learn and adapt your skills.

I will always come back at the right price on hot deals and I can not fault the course conditions, well apart from the tee boxes

Great course and fun layout. However, despite there being marshalls around the course they weren’t doing anything to improve pace of play even though we teed off just after 9am. Solid 4.5 hour round - hard work!

Played this course number of times and overall really enjoy it. Frustrating that in the past couple of weeks they have done that thing where they drill all the holes into the greens and cover with sand but every course has to do that at some point I guess

Recent wet weather left the course muddy and saturated. Greens ok.

I just played the course yesterday and found it in very good condition for this time of the year.fairways and greens in very good condition and playing well.

Course in great condition considering the weather we have had.

Greens were cut & running well. Fairways were cut & managed to get a little bit of run on them.

Rough has been cut back and was a little bit muddy but not as bad as some of the other courses I have played this year.

Staff are very helpful and friendly.

Carry only but you could hire a buggy for £20 but stay on paths.

Will be playing there again.

We played in the middle of Jan. Course played very well for the time of year. Fairways and greens held up well. There had been a few dry days prior admittedly, and on the day there was a heavy fog earlier in the morning. With that caveated, I think the course is very well maintained and will play even better in the summer. Great definitely for winter and we will be back. Greens are slow (could be the conditions), fairly decently sized. Tee boxes and cart paths all were in decent condition. The course does not have a huge number of hazards; difficulty is in some elevations and mounds/ bunkers on all fairways, and a few fair trees (which will likely play tougher with the foliage in summer). Restaurant and changing rooms and toilets were well maintained. Sandwich and chips were tasty and well prepared. All in all a great course. 5946 yards from the yellow tees. 71 par. Slope rating of 130.
