Woldingham Golf Club

A tricky course due to the slopes, with many holes played on the side of a hill. We enjoyed the challenge of the deeper bunkers and it certainly made us think about course management! The pace of play was excellent and made for an enjoyable round of golf.

I have played this course a few times over the years.

I have always had a great time while playing.

The course is in great condition and the greens were in excellent condition.

It’s not the most difficult of courses but you can come unstuck as the bunkers are in awkward spots. So don’t forget your sand wedge.

This course is hilly, such that you quite often get a lie where the ball is above or below your feet and on a slope. This makes for challenging but rewarding golf on a scenic course. Bunkers and greens were in good condition. Our only gripe was that we were, for holes 7 to 18, behind a fourball who were slow despite buggies and who, having let the previous two ball in front of us through, then did not find occasion to offer us to play through. As a two ball this often meant we were wating to play our shots and we ended up having a 4 hour round as a result, despite not losing any balls and thus having minimal search time. An enjoyable round but for that.

Definitely will be back

Played a mid-week Wednesday round, considering the relative lack of rain over the month the course was in excellent condition.

Even though back to back tee times, it was a fast round with good pace of play.

The valley course layout and design was very fun with lots of elevated greens in a lovely setting

Great value for money mid-week too

Great course, not overly difficult but tight on some holes providing a decent challenge.

Great track, nice challenging holes. Some marquee holes with wonderful countryside views. Bunkers were a bit stoney, only downside really.

Lots of holes the same, so many fairways are sloped to the left or right and you barely ever have a flat lie. Fairways not great

Very nice course, in good condition. Short but challenging holes with elevation changes and sloped fairways. Very enjoyable but green fees are expensive compared to other local courses.

Really good value and challenging course - good condition with staff out working busily all day to keep it so. Well worth a round in two, three or four balls.
