Customer
Very friendly and accommodating, would recommend checking the course out
Recommend
A little wet in spots due to recent rain, but overall a good day. Played in under 4 hours.
Under Water
Course was cart path only. Bay Course was extremely wet, and very bad conditions. Marsh Course was better, and could have had carts in fairway except for two holes. Staff allowed us out early as no one else was on the course. Signage to Marsh Course was very poor.
Enjoyed
Course in decent shape for this time of year. Played in 3 hours. Have to drive a distance from clubhouse to begin, so don’t recommend walking.
Gone down hill fast
Look, I understand the new management company needs to make changes, but charging $65 for this course with no driving range, no course managment, and horrid course conditions is just insanity. The greens are getting better but this course is NO WAY worth $65 a round. This is a $30...maybe. really big shame cause the views are gorgeous.
Needs 80 acres of corn and a couple dozen heads of cattle
Such bad shape I believe that the corn would not grow and the cattle would starve to death.
What a S Show!
Whole course is torn up.
Have to drive the cart all over the place to get to the tees.
Play 18 is really 2 nine hole courses.
Played it last year, forgot about it and when I got there I went oh nooo, but prepaid so I sucked it up and played.
I made a note in my book not to come back next year.
Good layout, conditions are atrocious
Played about 5 years ago and swore never to go back. They need to put some money and tlc into the course. The conditions at the Bay were bad but slightly better at the Marsh. The homeowners with beautiful homes must be furious about how the course is impacting home values. Come on man!
Greens are in terrible shape
Not worth the tolls from Destin! Too bad, was expecting something better.
Blue Water Bay
Marsh greens were better sape than the Bay course
Both grass was being to grow
Much Improved!!
It is time to come back to Bluewater Bay Golf!! You will not be disappointed
Beware of Hole 9 on Bay Course
The overall experience was great. However when our group was finishing up our round of golf, we had 2 people hit their ball just right of the cart path(maybe a foot from the concrete path) on hole 9. We watched a young man come out and pick up both balls and as we approached we saw an older gentleman maybe 40ish and asked if we could get the balls back. Well it ended in a very heated argument and it really wrecked the experience. In the 15 years I have been playing golf this is the first time I have witnessed someone that lives on a golf course be so utterly rude and disrespectful. I think it would have been okay if the gentleman had not done it in front of his young son. Either way beware of the yard with the tire swing in the back on hole 9 on Bay course. My suggestion if you land in his yard, just do yourself a favor and drop a ball.
