Cherokee Valley Course and Club

This was my first time playing this course upon a recommendation from a friend that has played it several times. I have one word to describe it "hilly"!!! It was a fun but rather challenging course with great views of the beautiful blue ridge mountains.

Shot an 81 but i really had to work at it. There are some odd holes that are pure placement shots that will sneak up and bite you. 3 of the par 5's are impossible to reach in two even as a long hitter from the blue or gold tees. One because if length the others because if awkard lies in the fairway at 290+ off the tee you either have a down hill or extrene sidehill lie. Pin placements are decieving unless you can lazer them there arent different color flags for pin positions. All in all a great test of golf your complete bag of clubs is needed!

Great golf course for the rates. This course is challenging enough to keep your ego in check yet has some opportunities to drive a few greens and play a risk reward round. The best feature is the blue ridge mountains surrounding you cooling the air during hot summer months here in the south. I drive 45min on purpose to play here.

Very nice course. Have been playing annually while visiting in Greenville. Mountain courses will have holes that sometimes don't make sense, but it's fun. Hole 15, par 3 is a scenic hole, severely down hill, you'll enjoy it.

Played for the first time, took the 1 hr. drive south and it was worth it. Course is a Dye design and you can tell it. Only problem was the pace of play had womens group in front of us.

Really enjoyed my first time playing. Hope to get back really soon and try again.

This is one of my more favorite courses. Great facilities for practice and instructions. Great views on back nine. Fair in every way nice size greens and fairways.Early in the season and not all bunkers were ready for play.

Do not underestimate all relatively short par 4's Nevertheless par 5's don't expect finishing this course being carried out on somebody's shoulders neither, you'll be brain picked at the end of the day,

One of my favorite upstate courses where greens are typically quick and course is pretty well manicured.

Cherokee Valley was in excellent shape as usual. The greens were great and consistent. Very good value especially when using golf now to book tee times.

Great course with nice views and very fun to play. Overall a difficult course but welcome the challenge if you ever have a chance to play here. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I'll be back many more times.

enjoyed the course very much , I play there as much as I can but not enough as I would like. Going to try the stay and play at there cottages next time.

Great course for the money. Practice facilities were in good shape as well. Greens are slick and undulating which makes for a few tough putts. Overall, very enjoyable.

The course has some short par fives and par fours but they are well protected by small sloping greens. This track is mountain golf so be prepared for some messed up lies. The course was extremely wet even though it had not rained in several days. I recommend this course but only if you are prepared for mountain golf. Driving range, chipping area and putting green were to notch. Staff was courteous and friendly.

Enjoyed yesterday had a chance to play at the Valley with some friends of mine. We had ourselves a great time. Looking forward to playing again very soon at this beautiful golf course!

To start with we played as a twosome. In the clubhouse the pro told us there were two groups of five In front of us. They would not let us play through. After two hours we were only seven holes in When we skipped holes 8 and 9 To go to hole ten. After finishing on 18 we went back and played eight and nine. This place is known for slow play and the people that work here don't care. The third time this is happened and I won't go back. It's a shame because it's a beautiful course. But the service and pace of play isn't worth it. I've asked them each time why there's no ranger and they just look at you Like they've never heard of a Ranger. Too many nice courses in this area to waste my money here

A brisk day after Christmas. Good value for the money, nice layout, a couple so-so holes. Will play it again.

Staff gets a 10! Very nice and easy going. Received a discount card just for playing the course. The greens were great, ball rolled true (even if I didn't putt great!). Fairways were well maintained, rough was forgiving. Nice elevation changes with some really interesting shot making choices. Over the trees or take what is given to you? Go for the green or lay up? Really enjoyed the course even though I didn't play great. My only frustration was slow play by groups in front of us. Let faster players play through! Especially when they catch you at the turn and are not getting any food while you feed your face. Ok, rant done, but it's not necessarily the course here, but a ranger would've helped I think.
