Basic hidden gem
Nice course to shake the cobwebs off if you haven’t played in a while like us. Fairway and greens were fine although quite a bit of pigeon poop to dodge.
Our golf cart was a mess - loud and needed a push a couple times. Other than that, all was good.
Best Course for the Price in Jacksonville
If you aren’t a pro or even if you are this track is perfect to go out and just have good day of golf. No extra stress, just good old golf. The fairways and tee boxes won’t be perfect, but for the price the greens are actually incredibly nice. People could take care of their balls marks a bit more for sure though, I feel bad for the staff. The greens would be so much nicer if people just fixed their own balls marks after hitting a GIR. I don’t know why people don’t, to me it looks cool because you hit a green, and fixing the ball mark is a small reward. Back to the course review, it is just a 9 hole course but I always just loop it twice. I really like all the par 3s, they are gettable but difficult at the same time. The pro shop worker is a man of few words but he is a good guy. The one thing I really wish this course had was some sort of water fountain/ filter, or water out on the course. If it’s a hot summer day be sure bring a bunch of water or else you will be buying it. I feel blessed to be able to play this course at the prices I pay, it’s super close to my house as well.
Good Value, With Issues
Have played here a couple times, course is in pretty good condition with some rough patches on a few greens. Good value for the price. The layout is nice for beginner to intermediate golfers. Lots of dog-leg rights so a slice isn’t punished too severely. Par 3’s are straight forward. Haven’t been able to use the range as they have been out of balls. Practice green is ok, chipping green is ok. The folks who work in the clubhouse aren’t talkative and seem strictly business. So don’t go expecting any small talk or course tips. Only bathroom is in the clubhouse (trailer). No beverage cart or water stations on the course. If you know the area, you know it’s not in the absolute best part of town. With that said, we start getting in to some issues. Last round we had a group of 6-7 elementary school age kids harassing us. They were running in the middle of fairways, dragging a sand rake around trying to chase geese. When my playing partner said to them “hey guys do you mind staying out of the fairway, I don’t want you guys to get hit”. Thats when chaos ensued, they all started yelling at him. A few of them ran up on him like they wanted a fight. Then one of them made a B-line straight for his golf cart, jumped in and tried to take off. Mind you, all his gear including clubs were still in the cart as we were only on the 9th hole. I had to chase the kid down and go full dad mode on him and his buddies. Cops showed up as others were also having issues with them. I’d go back but wouldn’t leave my cart or clubs unattended as they might go missing…
Course condition
Tee boxes in terrible condition as are the fairways. Good walking course for novice/ beginner.
Fairways Need Rain
Greens weren’t as good as 3 months ago but should get better with rain and warmer weather. We had a rough cold spell in Jax this year. Fairways were also a little harder to take divots in some areas. Overall not bad, maybe 3.5 stars.
PERFECT TO TUNE IN CLUBS
I have played this course since Nov 2025 at least 10 times. Always fun and in nice shape. The greens are well kept up with when the crew runs the blowers for leaves early in the morning. A nice touch and appreciate it. Overall I really enjoy playing here and try to get on there once a week for sure as weather improved. I golf Mon-Thurs once a week so this course is very fast play. Enjoy it very much.
Always a good time
The course is a better than average Municipal course. Some good elevations at a couple of places and guarded like most Florida courses (trees, water and bunkers). Bunkers were compact due to rain/lack of. Quite a few divots and such that many did not repair or fill which would make the course even better.
First timer
Rory the starter explains course outline and set me up as first time user. Will use again
This course is a good 9 hole course.
A few patches in the greens. Doesn’t really affect play unless you’re right in it. I played on a deal from TeeOff so I had no complaints about condition for price.
Always fun
Course is in really good shape, staff is always helpful and friendly.
