Sewailo Golf Club

We played 4 courses in Tucson in 4 days. This was our first course... And what a bummer that it was. Turns out, this was the best course of the trip, and you never want to start with the best. Challenging holes, very long from the tips! Not the best course conditions just because of the time of the year. I cannot wait to go back! I used every club in my bag at least once. Best price in the city in my opinion. Absolutely loved it!!

Ok. We’re from Colorado and golfing weather is getting dicey there. So a well manicured golf course and 88 degree weather was amazing! Definitely will play it again as it is one of the better values in Tucson.

This is a very beautiful course which is especially fair to women as the tee boxes are moved forward sufficiently. The views are great, the fairways are in good condition, and the greens are fast but playable. The biggest problem was that the starter told my wife and I at the first tee that they would monitor the pace of play, but we ended up with a five hour plus round, which ruined our enjoyment of what could have been a wonderful round of golf. Starting with the third hole, we waited 5 to 10 minutes at every tee box. Not until the 16th fairway did anyone come out and the guy told us to pick up the pace while we were standing in the middle of the fairway waiting for the group in front of us to clear the green. Ridiculous, as the group in front of us had two open holes in front of them.

Must play course but lots of hidden hazards (water and sand bunkers) so be prepared to loose some balls if unaware. Greens hold very well but this leaves many ball indentations. Unfortunately, all too many golfers don't repair these.

Course was in great shape but pace of play was very slow.

The design of the course was excellent , challenging, and a lot of fun. Just came out of overseed but it was in great shape and the greens were outstanding, fast , and smooth. I had never seen the track before and it exceeded my expectations. The outdoor service staff was very kind, friendly , and helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to play it again or recommend it to everyone I know.

I read more than once that this course was rated (albeit in 2015) as the #1 golf course in Arizona and #6 Nationally. They may have been but I'm playing this now 6 years later and it aint that now. Fairway grass is close to the best fairways I've ever played. A few of the greens have total dead spots on them, not good. Greens in general were spotty. I have played golf 54 years and I am not very long anymore. We played the Jade T's and in general it was playable. I did not like the 456 yd. par 4 that I hit a good drive and a good 3 wood 10 yds short of the green. They ought to take that yardage down to under 425 or so and to make that up make one of the 300-325 yd hole 40 yds longer. I would play again but only at this bargain price I found or something close to it. A lot of sand traps that get you, some when you hit a great drive down the middle. First greenside bunker I was in had barely any sand, clubbed bounce off and I blew the ball over the green. Play it if you find a deal and have your own opinion on it. BTW, it really is a beautiful course, so take your camera.

Always enjoy Sewailo. It was slow due to cart path only today.

Restroom near practice facilty wasn't up to usual standards.
