Good course bad staff
Great course played as part of a trip over to Ireland loved it although the guy in the pro shop was not friendly and seemed to be talking down to us as if he was doing us a favour and we weren’t welcome left other than that lovely course members were very friendly pace of play was fine no issue and the lady we talked to at the turn was lovely
Excellent Value for Money
This is an excellent course for the cost. I played Tulfarris the day before and I’d rate this better value for money. The fairways and bunkers were in better condition (after very heavy rain) with the greens being a bit spongier than Tulfarris, but still very good. I only played the 9 holes once, but if played them a second time I think I’d have learned a lot from the first time around.
I played early (8:20AM) so there was nobody in the clubhouse, so I can’t comment on staff or clubhouse. I got a card and teed off. Some of the holes are long and challenging, but there isn’t that much trouble. Relatively easy find the ball unless OoB, (or in rabbit holes in the quarry 😂). The fairways were excellent. A few nice Par 3s. Nice views and there was also a lot more wildlife around this course too.
Cleaning facilities were in working order.
One small issue is that it isn’t always clear where the next tee box is. Sometimes it is, but a couple of arrows on a few of the holes would help a lot. But overall excellent value for money.
Poor
Booked a tee time online and arrived at the course to be told that there was a delay of 10 minutes which actually turned out to be 20 minutes. They over sold the greenfees and because it's a nine hole course priority was given on the first tee to people finishing the ninth. Pace of play was AWFUL had to quit after 6 holes as I just couldn't take anymore. Unless you're staying in the area I'd avoid
Very busy with lots of wait time at each tee box .
A very nice 9 hole with picturesque views
The course is well maintained, if a little heavy in the rough. Greens were appropriately fast and all aspects of the course were well maintained.
The club house does not appear to offer much, though I was quite early in the day.
Enjoyable 9 hole with very pretty views of west Wicklow.
Overall not bad, could do with some TLC
Had a last minute round here , not a bad layout , nice little clubhouse. Course needs some maintenance, tee boxes were not maintained at all, could also do with signage from green to next tee as it's not always obvious. But for the price it was very good value.
Great course
I am a beginner at golf and this course has wide fairways that were very forgiving on me. Some good long par 4s and 5s and some challenging holes for sure but overall I had a great time.
Very good for what it is
Very good for what it is. A 9 hole course played twice with slightly different Tee off's 2nd time round. often from the same tee box just a different distance. Course was in amazing shape, Greens were excellent also. Only problem was we hit some traffic on both 9s. All in all a very enjoyable round. Will for sure be back many times this summer.
Great layout!! A good combo of challenge and forgiveness.
Great Course
Delighted with the quality of the course for so cheap. A lovely 9 hole course with 2 tee boxes for the opportunity to play 18. The price, condition of course and overall cheerfulness of the staff is great.
