Hidden gem
Lovely picturesque challenging but fair course with a lot of room off the tee and in great condition. Well worth a visit!
Few dangerous tee off areas very slippery in damp conditions
I had an accident on the third hole last year slipping down a very slippery sleeper on the sides of the steps leading down from the tee off area and they still haven’t tried amending the situation it’s still exactly the same and an accident waiting to happen a simple handrail either side of the steps would make such a difference
Incredibly disappointing
I have played many great courses around Leinster and heard great things about Rathsallagh. It was shocking, hideous entrance, pro shop closed at 2:30 in the afternoon, minimal to no signs regarding next tees, rough full of half mown grass and grass dumpings, and the greens were maybe up to scale with the greens of a half decent pitch and putt course. Would not recommend to anyone
Lovely golf course
Really enjoyable round of golf is nice conditions. Greens had just been hollowed and sanded so weren’t in the best condition but still really enjoyed the round.
Avoid
Firstly drove a long way to play here because it has good reviews but the greens were forked and sanded and virtually unplayable. Should have been told this when I was booking. Secondly pace of play is shocking front 9 was full of juniors who had no clue which is OK.we all.had to learn but there should be a ranger on course to stop them hitting 3 balls on every tee and walking away from bunkers without raking. Plus they wouldn't let me through. Finally when I got to the 10 tee a couple had walked straight from the carpark to the 10th tee box in full view of the pro shop and proceeded to play the slowest 9 holes in the history of Golf again not letting me by. Course layout is a bit confusing. My advice if you're going to play it wait till the schools are back otherwise I'd avoid
Rathsallagh
Very good track . Greens are brilliant. Pity clubhouse restaurant was not ooen for something to eat
Great course⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great layout and fantastic test of golf, nice variety of holes.
Fairways and greens in great condition
Only let down was bunkers had a lot of stones and also footprints, not being raked.
Don’t know if this was just because schools are on holidays but footprints were everywhere 😡😡😡
