If you are a golfer, are up for a challenge and can stomach the drive, then go!

The conditioning is 11/10. The clubhouse and amenties (eg Lil Wick) are also cool.

The layout itself was undoubtedly very good, but not mind blowing.

In terms of value, this is much better than Quintero or some others in PHX (eg Troon, We-Ko-Pa), but it comes at a cost of an hr~ drive.

Wickenburg Ranch was a very good course. It was in fabulous shape, and the greens were firm and fast, but fair. Due to some elevation changes, the course plays longer than what's listed on the scorecard - the starter will advise you of this before teeing off - it's definitely the case. It is located about 75 miles from Phoenix and depending on traffic - could be about an hour and half away. Still - it's worth the trip and is recommended.

Great place to play - the drive out from the Valley was well worth it!!! Course layout and tee selections provide opportunity for all levels....Some of the views were the best around!!!! Be prepared for elevation changes not usually seen in the valley...

Excellent course in fantastic shape. Not easy to play the first time around. Plays longer than the yardage. Fairways, greens & green complexes all in outstanding shape. Greens were putting at 9-9 1/2. Would prefer them a little faster. Friendly and very accommodating staff. Nothing but good things to say about this golf experience. One reminder, gps based yardage devices didn’t work because of the lack of cel service. Course is well marked however. Take this ride to Wickenburg. You will not be disappointed.

Be aware that this GC triple charged me and has refused to return my calls for reinbursement. Loved the coures but will NEVER go back!

You would be hard pressed to find a better conditioned golf course anywhere! All staff I met were friendly.

Heard conflicting reviews of the course. Maybe the negatives were because of the difficultly of the course, but I found the course to be a good test of golf. The greens were difficult to read and that added to the challenge. The conditions of the fairways and greens was superb, however the bunkers were poor. Very, very hard packed with rocks. Not worthy of a 5 star course rating. We played with another couple and the forward tees were OK for the ladies. There are some challenging holes, even from the forward tees, but the wives both enjoyed the course. Probably the worst hole is the par 5 number 9, if you have not played the course before. Do expect we will be back if the opportunity arises. Rate the course as one of the top 5 we've played in the PHX area. Much better than the TPC Champions. Prices was comparable, but for the $$$, Wickenburg Ranch would be our preference. The driving range was closed, so we did not get to take advantage of that before our round. The starter was very informative about the course and what to expect. The barber poles are aiming points and not the 150 yard poles, so that helped with planning for the perfect tee shot.

One of the nicest courses I have ever played. It is a beautiful course and the conditions were superb.

While a difficult course, the experience was worth the challenge.

Wife and I are an older couple from Alberta and played with Kyle from Montana and had a great day on the course. Conditions were excellent, greens were quick but holding and although a little breezy very playable from the blues and reds. Got around in 4:15 so pace was great. Most of the staff were very good but had an issue with an extremely rude staff member in the pro shop at the days end. Almost a perfect day

Two Danish golfers: To keep it simple: - top golf course - awesome conditions. Really worth driving too for the experience! Must play!

The course is not for high handicappers. But, it is one of the most scenic courses I’ve ever played. Course was in perfect condition. Sound like this course may become private in the couple of years so take it in while you can...

I should start off by saying I've played here once before in 2015. The course was beautiful as it is now, but at that time they were still using temporary buildings for the clubhouse. I had a very long day. At that time the greens were like a frozen pool table. To add to that they are very undulating and large. I must have three putt 13 greens. I figured that this was a course for low handicappers and not the place for me since I'm a slightly better than bogey golfer. I swore I'd never go back. Well I got a smokin deal on Golfnow so I decided to try again. Well, construction seems to be finished with a new clubhouse, bar and restaurant. There are lots of other amenities for residents as well. The course was in perfect shape, the practice area top notch and the service was awesome too. The greens were still fast but I found them to be manageable. If you're not careful you can still putt your ball off the green though! This is not an easy course, not a lot of room for mistakes but the fairways are big enough for a little slice if you have one. I feel like the average golfer can play here now and enjoy themselves. I'll definitely be back.

There’s nothing negative to say about the course. It is in excellent shape and always fun to play. The restaurant however could not get us in for a couple hours after play and they did not even have a menu for us to look at to see if we wanted to sit down and eat there.

Bring golf course and beautiful facilities. Staff gets A+++

This is a beautiful course and very well conditioned. However it is extremely narrow and target golf. If you leave the fairway you're in the desert in the rocks and virtually all those lies are unplayable. If you are not a good golfer under a 15 at a maximum I would strongly recommend not playing this course

Wickenberg Ranch Golf and Social club is a high desert course designed in rolling hills near Prescott national forest an easy hour or so from Scottsdale. The clubhouse and restaurant sit atop at hill overlooking the driving range and the par 5 18th hole. The layout includes 6 par 3's and 5 par 5's. The turf conditions here are superb. The blue tees played at 6486 yards and a slope rating of 134. The bent grass greens were receptive and rolled really nicely. This course will remain on my must play list for Scottsdale vacations.

This is the 2nd time our foursome has played this course and both times we agreed it was the best course out of the 4 we play on our annual trip. The course is in great shape and the members help keep it that way. Friendly service throughout. My only negative is that they didn't serve a hot breakfast. They did last year even though they were in the process of moving to a new clubhouse. Caught us by surprise and with the rodeo in town we didn't have any quick options.
