Challenging course with superb views. Well maintained all round and friendly helpful staff.

Played here just after lockdown and the course was in spectacular condition but since then it's seen quite some traffic by the looks of it. Great course and always enjoy playing but the greens were rather slow on this occasion. Definitely worth playing if you like the hills.

A great course set on the top of a hill with fantastic views over England and Wales. Course was in great condition but the clubhouse was unavailable to us due to COVID rules. Would play again now we know our way around the layout.

Played there for the first time today and was completely blown away by the condition and lay out of this course. You need to be a thinking golfer to do well here and some prior knowledge of the course would have helped with some of the blind tee shots, but to me, this is one of the best golf courses in the region. It plays like a parkland / links hybrid and some of those bunkers look positively evil; the course is tight enough to be a bit of a challenge but open enough that it is not too punitive and there are plenty of risk v reward opportunities for all handicappers (my group today comprised of a 28, a 19 and a 12 H/C - we all thoroughly enjoyed it). Hard to rate the amenities due to Covid restrictions so I have just given an average, however the pro shop and the locals we met on the putting green were friendly and helpful. I will definitely be going back soon, and regularly!

Regarding the prior knowledge, the website currently does not map the course layout and this would be a helpful addition. This is the only "negative" I could think of.

Been playing here on and off since early 80s and it’s never been better than it is now. Fairways, tees and greens in great condition. The only negative was being stuck behind a couple of slow groups so two ball took 4 hours but the sun was out and we loved it.

Highly recommend a visit to this great course if you’re in the area.

The course was in really nice condition, the greens were a nice pace and the fairways in very good order. Played in a 2 following a 4 and the round took 3hrs 20 mins which is quite good these days.

Shame lockdown meant we couldn’t use the facilities but I’m sure they are good.

The weather was lovely, could see for miles around, the views are breathtaking, the greens fabulous, going again this week, great course and really friendly staff

The course is challenging and the views are amazing.

What a beautiful course. Every hole has character. Well kept and great value for money. Would give it 6 stars if I could. Want to play here again and again despite losing 6-7 balls !!!
