Golfer Reviews
Smashing greens and well kept
Played today for the first time and was very impressed. The course was well kept and the greens in great condition . Recommend giving it a try. Pro was helpful with flex on the tee time to suit.
Quirky layout
From our arrival to leaving the staff and members could not have been more welcoming.
The course was in recovery from all the recent dry weather however the greens and tees were in excellent condition.
The course has an interesting layout set out in three distinct areas all with different layouts and challenges.
You had to pick your way around the course.
The round was slow due to a large society group in front who were extremely slow.
However we were in no rush and enjoyed the various views which are stunning and had an excellent afternoon.
Would certainly add to my list of courses to play in the area.
Nice course well worth a visit
Nice 50 minute drive to this course easy to find and park, friendly staff and nearby washroom, golf now hot deal gave us a very fair price. Generally well maintained course greens ran very true but quick in places despite the obvious watering. Fairways very hard due to the drought conditions but rough was very fair. One criticism was that some greens had pin placements very close to the edge of a drop off edge of the green onto hard fringes (due to weather) so any putts that should have stopped a couple of feet past just kept rolling and rolling which as a group we thought was very unfair, in those circumstances pins should really be more central. Apart from this bunkers were well stocked with sand but the odd pool or ditch we came across were completely dry. This is a course we all agreed we would like to revisit especially when it’s greener!
Arscott Golf Course is recommended
Lovely welcome in the club house and in the pro shop.
We were early and the pro got us into an earlier slot (30 min)
Course was in great condition with fast greens running very true. We will be back to play again and we would highly recommend a visit.
Good value fairways need little attention
For the cost the course provides excellent value the layout having not played before could be better displayed on the scorecard
Fairway conditions needs weed management as lots of daises present which poses difficulty in sighting ball
I would play again as the course wasn’t overbooked and allowed an enjoyable round
Great day out!!
Excellent condition, greens were fast and fairways in good nick. Enjoyed it
Great condition
Staff must be recognized for doing such a great jobs b to keep the greens in such good condition despite the lack of rain. Real fun course with friendly members and staff
A Gem
A course out of this world and a GEM. Tucked away the course have spectacular views and is enjoyable for low and high handicaps. We have played here several times over the years and it never fails to please. Can be a bit wet depending on the time of year. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Disappointed
Last minute booking but knew about the club.
Paid full price and travelled 25 miles only to find out when checking in it was only playing 13 holes (not mentioned anywhere).
The holes I played were okay and the greens were excellent.
Website requires updating as not mobile friendly.
And a course status would if helped.
Disappointed.
Enjoyable course and friendly people
This was my first time playing here, and it was a very enjoyable experience in a scenic setting. We were paired with two other players who were very patient with my friend and me, as we are both golfers with a handicap of 25 or higher. The course conditions were excellent, especially considering the recent poor weather. We would definitely play here again.
Nice to get out
The course only had the front 9 open which was frustrating but understandable.
The course was very wet and the fairways very long but the greens held up very well.
Would recommend playing in drier conditions
We'll go back
A nice course to visit. Like a lot of golf courses there's a narrow lane to the course entrance but it's not to far, about 5mins.
We picked a rainy day so got a buggy to get round a bit quicker but everyone else we seen out was walking. There's no real nasty hills to walk up but there's a few smaller 1s and a bit of a gap to walk between a couple holes.
Some nice varied holes in great condition, enjoyed them all. No stand out scenery moments but the entire visit felt peaceful and very relaxing without the sound of any traffic just out in the countryside.
Didn't see a range (didn't ask either) but there was a practice hole where some people were hitting a bucket of balls.
An hour from me but I will definitely look forward to a return visit
Lovely course, amazing views, loved it
Lovely course in great condition with some incredible views of Shropshire and beyond. I nice mix of tree lined holes, some challenging, but generally plenty of space. A few interesting slopes and a bit of water. Perfect!
Good facilities with practice areas and attractive club house. Everyone was friendly and it was very relaxed and tranquil. Will definitely play again.
Needs some tlc
Short course even off the white tees. Could do with being lengthened. Played here a few time the biggest problem is other players not repairing pitch marks on the greens.
No definition in cuts between fairway and rough. 8th hole still playing off winter Matt.
Having said that £20 for 18 holes is cheap considering other courses over played are £150+. Hopefully as summer roles round the green keepers will be on it.
Muddy course
Very muddy lost 2 balls that plugged on the fairway. Came off looking like I had been on a building site not a golf course
