Played here once before about 4 years ago. Really enjoyed the course both trips. Some fairways are quite narrow. Stunning views and an all round challenge. There was some wait on the 18th hole but other than that great day. I think the last hole where you drive onto/over the practice area is a bit strange.
Another great day there
Today it was quite windy on top of the hill but once again this course was in top condition, especially after heavy rain last night.
A fantastic course
A fantastic course with great views
When I arrived the pro shop were spread organised and ready for me. The course was in excellent condition. The course itself is slways a challenge and it is great value for money.
I will return again
First time at this beautiful course
I have lived near this course for a number of years but never managed to get here to play. What a waste of those years. Great course in great condition. Really enjoyed my game there and will definitely be back.
Excellent .
The course was in excellent condition as it always is ... fantastic layout and views , Llanymynech is a credit to its staff and members . Absolutely recommend visiting here .
Nice to be back!
Played at Llanymynech on 2nd December after lockdown lifted. Nice to be back out and playing.
It was very busy even teeing off close to midday. Suppose it was to be expected but the pace was slow due to waiting on some tees.
Course was a bit wet in places and the greens were slow but for this time of year it’s in very good nick.
Good value for money booking through Golf Now! Shame the 19th wasn’t open due to COVID restrictions but the golf is what matters and it was just nice to play at a lovely course that I have played before many times and will continue to do so in the future.
A little gem, shame about the bar lady
A fantastic little course in great condition! A very well designed course always making the golfer think. We had a great day it’s just a shame the bar/kitchen stewardess wasn’t as welcoming as everyone else!!
Wonderful course
A spectacular course with views to match , many raised tees & greens to have a view on the countryside for miles , lovely tees and greens made this a great experience for a day out golfing and we had wonderful weather to match , perfect!!
An absolute must for your bucket list
If you book golf to get a good test for your game, or because the course looks stunning, or because the landscape around it looks amazing, then this course has to go on your bucket list. We had a really friendly welcome, and walking to the first tee with some pretty stunning views around you, you already have a sense that you are going to partake in something special.
After a few holes that ease you into your game you come to the border hole where you tee off in Wales and putt in England. After this dog-leg, things take a step up in difficulty. The holes go downhill or uphill, like a roller coaster. The views start to be awe-inspiring. But this is just the overture. Nothing quite prepares you for what awaits over the steep rise you drive over on the 11th. It must be one of the most astonishing views in UK golf. The golf remains tough with holes dipping down or rising up, lots of trees and blind tee shots. The 15th must be one of the craziest shots into the green you will ever play. A long downhill drive on the 18th to the fairway below takes you back to the safety of the clubhouse and a well-earned drink to celebrate one of the most fun, and visually stunning courses you will play. We played in benign conditions. If the wind is blowing it must be a monster!
2 countries, 5 counties and 18 great holes
Views dominate the title, and the commanding viewpoints are alone worth the trip.. but teeiing off in Wales on the 4th and putting out in England is a thrill rather than an error placement. The 3 holes in England are followed by a Croeso i Gymru sign on the course welcoming you back. A pristine course, very amenable staff and fellow golfers made a very pleasant afternoon. There are a few points where signage to the next tee could be better, but the golf was worth it for sure. I'll be back to put my card next to that of the course record holder in the club house, a 6 under par by a certain Mr Woosnam. I won"t, but will return.
Very interesting track
Not a big hitter course...use you grey matter... you need i guess to be a member or have played here a few times to get used to it....lots of blind shots...lots od huge elevation changes.
Course in great condition, could not same the same for the very dated facilities.
Great day out
Have been about 5 times travelling from STAFFORD. We enjoy the course and the friendly staff so visit once a year and look forward to it. Spectacular views.
Great course
What a course! Great course and what stunning views from some of the holes ! 3 holes in a England 15 in Wales well worth a journey to try
