Solid Course, Great Price, Beautiful Views
Very hilly and challenging fairways, but still wide open to play for any skill level. Staff was very nice, pace of play was great, and views of Lake Acworth. Would definitely play again!
Beautiful challenging course and in excellent condition.
I have nothing negative to say about this course. It's a great lay out and in excellent condition. Great greens and fairways. The price was reasonable, especially with my senior discount. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the course marshals and staff that deal with golf carts and club rentals. Gives it more of a country club feel than a municipal golf course. My only complaint was with the rental clubs. I thought $40 was a little expensive, and while it was a nice set of Calloways, I had two 4 irons and two 6 irons, but no 7 or 3 irons. I'd highly recommend this course. I found it to be extremely difficult, but not unreasonably so.

Good test for the scratch player: tough, scary, fair, pleasant
Cobblestone is somewhat like Settindown Creek: (1) flat holes near the water and hilly terrain further away; (2) a great variety of interesting holes requiring both fades and draws; (3) you frequently leave the driver in the bag and hit your tee shot to a certain distance. The fairways were hard and fast the day we played; some bare lies and hard pan. The tees and Champion Bermuda greens were in excellent shape although the greens were a little on the slow side, even down grain.
Good test for the scratch player: tough, scary, fair, pleasant
Cobblestone is somewhat like Settindown Creek in that: (1) there is a flat portion of the course close to the water and a hilly part away from it; (2) there is a great variety of interesting holes requiring both draws and fades; (3) the emphasis is on driving accuracy; you have to leave the driver in the bag a lot and play for a certain distance off the tee. The fairways were hard and fast the day we played; they are in pretty good shape except for some very bare lies and patches of sand. The tees and champion bermuda greens were excellent, although the greens were unexpectedly on the slow side, even downgrain.

Great track! Super friendly staff!
I have not played Cobblestone for a while, but will definitely be back soon. Course is in great shape despite a TON of rain recently. Only 4 holes were cart path only. Pace of play was great even though it was pretty packed. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!!!

Views you expect from a resort course
If you were to build a hotel where the parking lot and clubhouse are, this would immediately turn into a Lake Allatoona Resort Course. This property rivals some of the best lakefront private courses in GA, but it's public!
A few things I love about Cobblestone
1. The land and surrounding nature feel as if your miles away from the rest of the busy lake-goers (not uncommon to see deer, groundhogs, snakes, birds)
2. The driving-range is what you'd expect from a public course. I didn't feel like it took away from the experience.
3. The tee boxes were mostly full of grass (a few dead spots, but nothing terrible)
4. The fairways do have uneven lies but the smart landing areas typically set up flat for 2nd shots (helps maintain some difficulty)
5. The greens and bunkers are well maintained (greens roll about avg pace)
6. THE LAKEFRONT HOLES (words can't express how shocked you will be, especially considering what you pay)
A few things I don't like about Cobblestone
1. The driving range could use an upgrade
2. The golf cart paths around the clubhouse are a bit confusing and difficult to get to your car (not a huge deal)
3. The woods and areas along the sides of the fairway and cart path could use some cutting back (a miss in the woods or even a ball that finds the fairway and rolls into the brush can be lost easily)
4. No GPS on the cart (difficult to determine distances w/o a range finder.
5. I think the front 9 and back 9 should switch. (most of the lake holes are on the front and it'd be nice to finish with those)
Overall, Cobblestone blew me away. The prices rise on the weekends, but paying $35-$65 for the course is a STEAL! The holes along the lake are beautiful. If you live near Kennesaw/Acworth, this should be your home course. If you live closer to ATL, it's worth the 20-45 min drive.

Great layout and greens.
This course is on US Army COE land without houses all over , which is nice. It's a great design wrapping Lake Ackworth. The champion Bermuda greens roll true. They look faster than they are, but are not slow. I really enjoyed playing the course. The foursome I was paired with was exceptionally slow and it took 4 1/2 hours, without a ranger in sight. Besides that it was a great day. Highly recommended.

First time here in a while...
Played with a buddy at 2pm on a Saturday based off his recommendation. For the rate, the greens were not great and lots of dirt patches in the fairways. I really like this layout, too bad it’s in poor shape. Also, they had Marshalls on the course, but they did very little to encourage pace of play. 5:15 round, constantly waiting on the group ahead, with no one in front of them. Between pace of play, and poor conditions there are too many other courses to recommend this one. Maybe we’ll give it another go later in the season with a hotdeal under $30.

If only the weather was better
We played as a foursome in March of 2019. The course was in fantastic shape. The greens rolled true and the bunkers were playing fair. Everything was great about the round with the exception of the weather. Unfortunately, if it rains just a small amount, odds are you will be playing cart path only golf. In addition to cpo, a cold front was moving through and we were playing with wind gusts of 20-25mph coming off the lake. These were the toughest conditions I have played in here and the course is not very forgiving to begin with. Aside from the weather adding about 10 more strokes to my game, we all had a great time.

Beautiful Little Course, Needs Help
Went while working in town, layout is beautiful and Lake Acworth makes the course. It is however water logged, and made hitting pretty tough. Hopefully, will play better in the summer! Can’t wait to go back. Greens and tee boxes in excellent condition.
