Cobblestone Golf Course

5 hours is way too long a round of golf. I like Cobblestone a lot. Staff is always excellent. The course is great track. Greens are great too. The wet winter has taken a toll on this course. Lots of no grass bare areas. I will not play here again for 2 months. But I will be back.

Beware, the entire course is cart parth only. This makes for a long day on a packed course.

The course has a nice layout. However you can tell that there has been damage from heavey rains. In my opinion, if the course where overseeded , it would give protection to the soil against the rain. With the grass dormant there is not protection against the rain run off.

It's a nice course good value, but the cart part only and slow play made for a bad experience.

Very poor conditions! Slow pace of play. Very disappointed as this is my favorite public course I play. Should have been discounted more.

Pace of play was very very slow, on a Tuesday afternoon. Greens were ok, not as nice as I remember them in the past. Hardly any grass on the fairways (mostly mud). Was cart path only because it was so wet and muddy. Winter has hit this course hard. Needs to spring back.

This course is a good track. It’s a good layout with some nice holes in some challenges. Overall, worth the of playing. However, you have so many people that are out there playing but have no idea about how to play golf or anything to do with pace of play. And the course management does absolutely nothing about it. It just happens, you put up with it and it is a miserable experience. It took us almost 5 hours to play golf today. Uncalled for. Not a single ranger or staff assistant ever appear in the tire five hours. This course is a good track. It’s a good layout with some nice holes in some challenges. Overall, worthy of playing. However, you have so many people that are out there playing that have no idea about how to play golf or anything to do with pace of play. And the course management does absolutely nothing about it. The carts are in terrible shape, Bald tires, brakes do not work well, parking brake struggled to engage all day. The slowest greens I have played on in three years. A lot of washout areas due to poor drainage, The cart paths are also in bad shape, The course has a lot of potential but the major maintenance items are being neglected . The staff was great, they Marshall the course very well.

We do not think we will play this course again.

Really cool layout with some quality golf shots available in the design. Greens rolled really nicely and held shots as well. Overall a great public golf experience. I wish it was closer to me so I could play it more often!

I love playing here. The course is beautiful and it is supervised with great care and tremendous professionalism.

Having not played Cobblestone in ~15 years I was hoping to find the track as I remembered it during my Junior academy days.....thankful not much has changed since then! We played on a wet Monday so it was wide open (no bev cart only downside, maybe just a Monday thing?). Best value for the money after scoring a Hot deal on golfnow. Even with-out a "hot deal," seems to be a great value for the money at their standard rates.

This course has a great layout of holes and is walkable with-out much distance between greens and the next tee box but you better be prepared for a few steep hills and lots of mounds to navigate all over the course.

Greens were in great shape compared to others this time of year but some folks still can't grasp the concept of repairing ball marks to HELP maintain these great greens along Lake Acworth's picturesque fall foliage. Only #7 fairway had an area of "ground under repair" or should have been roped off as such.

Undulations (fairways & greens) are plentiful and you better "miss" on the right side of the hole or you'll be left with a challenging putt. Expect to play a bunch of side/up/down hill lies throughout your round (even on the "flat" holes). Bermuda rough isn't long but it causes the ball to sit down so be sure to take an extra club, or two, if you hope to get to the hole. No gps in carts but lots of marked sprinkler heads and drains to help keep the pace of play moving along.

Grounds keepers, cart attendants, and pro shop staff were all extremely friendly - thanks for another great memory at Cobblestone!

Course was in good condition, tho it doesn’t drain well, so every hole had some soggy areas. Main issue was pace of play. 5 1/2 hrs is brutal. We barely finished our round before dark, with a 1 o’clock tee time. Hosting a small tournament on Sunday is one thing, but to allow then to back the course up where you got 3 groups standing on the tee box is frustrating.

The ranger threatened to make us skip Holes to speed up pace of play. We we're not holding up the group behind us. Very rude and this pressure definitely destroyed an otherwise enjoyable round.

Cobblestone is a very nice, well conditioned public course. Very, very challenging from the tips. Other tee boxes available to suit your level of play or how much challenge you want to bite off. Fairways and greens in very good condition.
