Great day at beautiful and challenging course
This course is always in great shape, always beautiful and very difficult. There are few easy shots or holes where you don't have to think and play your safe areas not to shoot a big number if you miss your target. That is however what makes this course great. Most Fairways are not overly wide and there is usually trouble left and right. But the condition the views and the layout makes it worth the mental challenge that much more rewarding. . Even if my score is a little higher than normal,I still love the 3 rounds I have played at Cobblestone and loom forward to playing here again.
Brutal but Gorgeous
City Club Marietta vs. Cobblestone is a difficult comparison. City Club has GPS Golf Carts, a dramatically better clubhouse, gorgeous mountain views, and is a bit more forgiving for beginners. Cobblestone has immaculate fairways and greens, gorgeous water views, and can be very, very challenging.
Cobblestone beat me up pretty badly as a beginner. Certain holes are incredibly unforgiving. That said, it is in immaculate condition and is just gorgeous property to be on. The clubhouse was a bit underwhelming and it was very, very packed and slow on the weekends - something to consider. They have an annual pass that I may buy next year, buy even if I don't, Cobblestone is definitely in my rotation along with City Club Marietta and Fox Creek.
Cobblestone
I played this course when first built about twenty years goo and originally known as The Boulders. I enjoyed it then and even more yesterday. This course requires a knowledge of the features due to the hills and mounds. Luckily I was riding with a long time member who was very helpful. Cobblestone was well maintained and in great shape. Rangers were present to keep things moving but also friendly and helpful. Overall a great golf day and I will return.
Since the City of Acworth took it over the course is in very good shape. A great course with many challenging holes especially along the water. A course you could play on a regular basis and not get tired of it. Would highly recommend it.
Great experience!
Overall a very pleasant round. Course had heavy rain the day before and was cart path only when I played.
Excellent Course, Facility and Staff
Excellent course in very good condition. A well managed facility with friendly staff. I live an hour away from this course but it is worth the trip.
Cobblestone...good track
Playing golf at Cobblestone is always a good time. The course is almost always in good shape and the layout is fair to all level of golfers, unless you want to push it back to the back tees...then it's all you want.
Nice Course
Course is going through some maintenance and aeration but was in good shape. Had about 6 holes where it was cart path only but layout is nice.
Beautiful challenging course
This course is a lot of fun and very picturesque. It's challenging and somewhat technical so choose your shots wisely. It's a good value and the course is always in good shape. In the spring time, you may want to call to check when they punch the greens, it's not always shown on the website. I have played here multiple times and have never had an issue with pace of play. usually golf weekday mornings
Playing very nice
Aside from the tee boxes, which need help, the course is playing very nice. Enjoyed the round, and for an early afternoon Saturday round, the pace of play was fantastic. Started on hole 10, which always feel weird, but will definitely play again when I find another hot deal like I had!
Course is in great shape and ready for a fun round
Great weather, pretty fast pace of play ...finished round in just under 4 hours. It was cart path only which slowed us down quite a bit but we have had a ton of rain in the last month, Greens were soft and receptive but a little long and slow....all the rain has made mowing and rolling a little difficult. I really like the layout of this course and will keep it in my regular rotation in the Northwest side of town.
First timer!
First time playing Cobblestone. I had a great time and managed to break 100!
A Cobb County Gem
Terrific layout that is in excellent condition. A wide variety of challenging holes for golfers of all skill levels. Great setting with numerous picturesque views.
Great Shape
Beautiful greens, lush fairways, and great layout.
Solid course
Played Cobblestone many times before, it's in better shape than I've it in years. Pace of play was quick as well!
Pleased with course
First time playing course and will play again especially at the above price and will pay more as the course was worth while. The course was in good condition, however the fairways were sparse at htis time. A very good layout and a challenge! I will play it as often as possible.
