Alhambra Municipal Golf Course
About
Alhambra Golf Course has a player-friendly design that is ideal for beginners but also great for more experienced players who are looking for a quick but fun round. The layout is a shorter par-71 design at 5,478 yards. It may not be long but it offers plenty of other challenges. There is plenty of variety between the two vastly different nines. The front nine holes are fairly flat, parkland holes with generous fairways lined with trees. The beginning holes provide a good warm-up for Alhambra Golf Course's more difficult back nine where you'll have to use every club in your bag. The back sprawls across rolling terrain, incorporating elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also more strategically placed bunkers on the back nine. Alhambra's 16th is the signature hole. This tricky par 5 begins with an intimidating tee shot over water in order to reach the fairway.

Hole 6 green. So many trees that line the fairways at this course. Photo submitted by u018507495 on 06/24/2025

Golfer Reviews
Ain’t Broke? Don’t Fix It.
Excellent round. There was nothing our foursome felt needed any fixing. Very pleasant at every turn. Back soon. Thanks to all concerned.
Best golf golf course under 6000 yards!
I always have fun playing Alhambra Golf Course.
The course is on great shape. I don't know if it's Troon Golf, but I'll challenge any course in Los Angeles to match their greens. They are great shape now.
The course layout is interesting and has plenty of trees, bunkers and few holes with water holes
Anyone will enjoy this course. Big hitters can leave their driver in the bag for most holes.
Slow
We always seem to be paired with or behind men who wait for the green to clear, hit from the blue tees, their ball either goes 100 yards or into the adjacent fairway. After searching for their balls, it takes them to way too long to hit. Wish golf etiquette was taught to these golfers. A Marshall would be nice.
Course in great condition!
Had a great round at this little track. The course is in beautiful condition right now, definitely worth $40 to walk!
