About
Alhambra Golf Course has a player-friendly design that is ideal for beginners but also great for more experienced players who are looking for a quick but fun round. The layout is a shorter par-71 design at 5,478 yards. It may not be long but it offers plenty of other challenges. There is plenty of variety between the two vastly different nines. The front nine holes are fairly flat, parkland holes with generous fairways lined with trees. The beginning holes provide a good warm-up for Alhambra Golf Course's more difficult back nine where you'll have to use every club in your bag. The back sprawls across rolling terrain, incorporating elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also more strategically placed bunkers on the back nine. Alhambra's 16th is the signature hole. This tricky par 5 begins with an intimidating tee shot over water in order to reach the fairway.

So much fun!
This course is short and fun. Only complaint would be the greens were on the slow side but otherwise keep’em straight and enjoy.
You will use all clubs in your bag

We really enjoyed the course and the restaurant. Greens and fairways were in fantastic shape. Shot my personal best! Great scenic views were a definite plus as well. Would def play here again!
Another round at a scrappy golf course.
As one of the courses on my loop, it's one of the hardest for me. All the holes look distance getable except for the terrain and you shoot to a 26 handicap.
Most of the groups I join up with are amiable people and I am able to keep up with, and when the air is clear the vistas of the surrounding mountains makes for a beautiful round.
A Little Known Neighborhood Gem
It's never going to host a PGA event, or an LPGA event, but this less than glamorous neighborhood track is a solid test of every club you've got. The fairways may be a little beat up in areas, and it would be great if everyone was reminded on the first tee to repair their divots on the green, but there's a nice variety of holes, some pretty water hazards, and best of all, unlike most LA city courses, you can actually get a tee time. You will find players of every level, most probably not single digit handicaps, but play moves along and you'll meet some great fellow golfers. For the price, it's hard to beat.
Everything Goid but Slow Play
Liked everything about the course except the pace of play was slow. Need a marshal on the course to help move things along. There was a foursome two groups in front of us who were one hole behind.
