Best shot of the day on the 4th hole Photo submitted by Brett4224030 on 10/04/2012
My round
Played with my family members, there first time at Antelope, they loved it. They can’t wait to play there again. Overall, great corse to play.
Fun course
This is a nice course, lots of par 3’s, no par 5’s and about 3 or 4 par 4’s. Short, but quite challenging on some holes. Lots of trouble on some holes(thick vegetations to avoid, water on some holes, and some sand traps).I really love this course. I will play here again and I recommend it.
Also, they have a driving range that’s pretty good. The practice green is quite small, but there’s 3 or 4 holes.
A couple of the holes are confusing as to which way you go for the next tee box. They would be wise to add a couple signs with arrows directing you to where to go, otherwise some golfers would be getting lost, thereby slowing up play.
GREAT PARTNER
PERFECT WEATHER, GROUPS AHEAD A LITTLE SLOW BUT MANAGEABLE TO FINISH AS IT GOT DARK.
Great Marshalls
Great fun out here. Marshall’s are more than friendly. Miss shot a drive by fence of driving range. Went looking for ball(Pro V1). Marshall asked me what I was looking for and helped looked for it. Evan told me to throw it back into the fairway. Great place and great conditions. Best looking greens I’ve seen in a while
Challenging par 3
Front nine pay 3s over water good time to work on iron play
Fun and Friendly
We chose this course primarily due to availability and location. This executive course has primarily par 3s with a few par 4s to boot. This is fun because you don't have to rely on irons all the time. But you will use you 8-PW A LOT on this course. WE played 18 in about 3.5 hours which is perfect. We will definitely be back and this is a little hidden gem if you're looking for something different, inexpensive and don't want to spend 5 hours on a round or just be related to 9 holes.
Great course to work on short game, irons, hybrids
Pros: This is a great course to work on your short game. Even your irons or hybrids. Mostly par 3s, but a few short par 4s too. This place really tests your short game to the fullest extent. The practice range is grass (yeah!). This is the perfect course to actually practice play. Cons: 1) A lot of tee boxes are so worn out there is virtually no turf. Myself, I was hoping to just put my ball down on the par 3s to hit my tee shot like I'm in the fairway of a par 4 or 5. Instead I had to slightly tee it up to sweep my shot. 2) Geens are so thick & soft, there is essentially no true roll. I gave up on this & just focused on my shots. 3) Overwhelming crabgrass everywhere. 4) Need a nice size putting green. Other: Nice clubhouse, nice views. Jake is very professional & courteous, great guy. Play can be slow. A lot of folks are not very high skilled players, but it goes w/ similar facilities. Expect this & you'll probably love this place. Never met anyone that wasn't nice here either. Again, great range, grass, and great course to practice play.
Can we get some water please?
This is a great course to work on your iron game. Being a single stuck behind a 4-some hitting a couple balls each kind of gets old, but it’s to be expected. It serves a purpose and that’s why I play here occasionally. The course is kept in pretty good shape which is one of the strongest reasons I would recommend playing here. Oh, and if they could place a few water coolers on the course that would be great, especially as hot as it gets in this area.
