Great Staff, but was the Greenskeeper having a bad day?
The staff was excellent all day long. Snack bar is easy to hit at the turn and keep it moving. I’m not sure what happened to the greenskeeper, but almost every hole was on an extreme slope or at the top of a hill that falls off in both directions. It was almost impossible to hit a lag outside of 1-2 feet and have it stay. I’d play again and just hope they were in better locations, but all in all it was a cool course to play.
Horrible pace of play!
5 hour round! Staff allowed the two foursome‘s in front of us who were friends to join up and play as eight players after the seventh hole. Not the first time I’ve been at Morgan Creek when they over schedule tee times, and then pace of play grinds to a halt. Course condition for this time of year was only fair.
Tight, hilly course.

Biggest issue...the tee boxes were horrible.
Fairways and greens were in pretty good shape. Rough waa a bit weedy.
Overall, got a great deal and was definitely worth the amount I paid.
I think I would go again...if it was a good deal again.
Paid less than 30 bucks with Hot Deal and promo code for 10 bucks off.
Better, But Still Not Great
Morgan Creek is a mixed bag. Sometimes the course conditions impress and other times they're lacking, specifically when it comes to the greens and tee boxes.
My biggest issue with the recent visit is the pace of play; it took over 5 hours to complete the round, which on a course that's not very long, shouldn't never happen. I saw the marshall a couple of times, but speed of play didn't increase until I was teeing off on the 15th hole.
Unfortunately, Morgan Creek will continue to be my last resort course of choice.
What a joy!!
This course has come a long way in the last 5-6 years. It was in excellent condition. Greens were receptive but also had great pace to them. The fairways were lush, and so was the rough I have to admit. The management is doing a fantastic job getting and keeping this course in wonderful condition. Keep it up. Can't wait to go back again. It was priced well, and we got done in 4:10 on a Saturday. Are you kidding me? That's quick.
Take a chance again on this track. It's worth it.
