Golfer Reviews
Unfortunate
Not big on reviews but pretty disappointing conditions. Most Greens are horrendous. Lots of brown and hard pan. Lost it at some point now seems like they’re trying to overwater. Tee boxes are shaggy and not mowed. Course has so much potential! Played early spring and it was in good condition. Played a few times since and has gotten worse every time.
Course was fine
Just for future reference we ordered 3 hotdogs and all 3 where undercooked and cold . Please make sure staff cooks hotdogs ore some one is going to get sick . Other then the food had a great day playing your course and would play it again .
Heat & Condition
It was in the worst condition I have seen it, since it open!!!! We only played 6 holes, never going back til it changes superintendent !!! Worst course in Northern Calif. SAD!!!!
The course was in terrible condition. Brown grass all over, sandless greens with weeds, and greens with dead spots all over them.
No wonder there were very few golfers on the course.
Worst kept course in the entire area!!!!!!!
I will not be back
Worst I’ve seen it
The tee boxes were long as could be. The greens were absolutely trashed with dead spots and sand. Avoid it for a while. I used to really enjoy this place, but not so much anymore.
Really bad greens
Course it’s decent, but the greens are so bad. It just to be a really nice course but it has gone downhill. So for the price of a round I would definitely go somewhere else. Golf carts are so out dated. No beverage cart.
The course is in horrible, horrible condition
I have played the course in the past, but unless major improvements, never again. The course is in unplayable horrible condition: the green burned out area and sand pits. Rather than repair the green or ground under repair there are sections cut out and filled with sand. None of the bunker that we saw had sand in them and wet. We play the bunkers as ground under repair and remover the ball to the fairway. If you could find grass to put the ball. The fairways have larger bare areas. Some of the green areas in the fairway weeds that had been cut low … GolfNow should consider doing an evaluation of this course, if it should even be offered.
Wow what happened?
This course supposedly aerated 3 weeks ago yet my good you would think it was yesterday with big punch marks all over and sand around the whole green…..But all the dead areas on ghe green was what was hard to understand…..it is dire need of new greens keepers cuz the ones now are not working…….unless there trying to let it go to sell to developers for housing which would turn the country club into a simple HOA.anyway why play a course in this condition when there are so many other choices that are so well kept that the bottom line here I guess….very sad though it was a nice course back in the day
Spacious course
Beautiful course but the greens are kinda rough and bare in spots. Lots of spacious fairways to practice driving and challenging sand pits. I loved seeing the turtles around the ponds/creeks.
Seen better days
Super bad conditions especially greens. Wint be coming back.
Brutal Conditions
The course is in rough shape. Not a lot of grass present. It’s one of the cheaper options but comes at a cost. If you hit a “fairway” don’t expect to be rewarded with a nice lie.
Greens not recovered yet
Paired up with another single. Had a great time. Greens need to be rolled still not recovered from punching. Not of bare spots on fairways. Please do a bit of reseeding
Bad conditions
Punched greens and diseased. Patchy grass all over the course. Not worth $65.
Would Expect Better...
The greens have been aeriated, which is a bit early as you would expect. The course in not in very good condition for a Country Club. Tee boxes are in need of repair and some trimming of some trees and bushes would help a bunch. The green around the corner on the first Par 5 is hard to see from the fairway due to overgrowth of trees and bushes. I hope they can improve it soon; it is fun to play.
Lot of dirt patches
Dirt all over fairways and bunkers had very little sand. Used to enjoy playing here but seems like letting it go. On cheaper side so if you don’t care about moving your ball every other shot from hard dirt to some grass it’s not the worst place to play.
Only If You're Desperate
In the future, I will only play Morgan Creek if I am desperate and unable to find a tee time anywhere else.
The course conditions have significantly declined over the last two to three months. The fairways are littered with crabgrass and weeds and the fringe (I use this term lightly) is practically weeds and dirt. What's worse are the tee boxes; they're lumpy with chunks of crabgrass scattered between the markers. There was no safe place to tee up.
The past several times I've played Morgan Creek, there's been a course marshal apologizing for the slow pace of play. I think they all practice the same joke: "...you might get out of here before midnight..."
It's truly a shame about Morgan Creek. It has such great potential; it's disheartening how poor the course conditions are, and how difficult it appears for marshals to keep players moving.
Punched Greens, punched everywhere
I’ve played this course before when it was in good shape; I like the layout, the staff is great and the food is actually very good. Was very disappointed yesterday. The number of times my ball was slightly off the fairway or green and I was hitting off essentially dirt was unacceptable. Even balls in the fairway had a chance to not be on grass. I expected bad greens because they were being aerated but the rest of the course needs a break too because it looks like it’s gone through it. Even with the reduced rate, wasn’t worth it this time. It’s been solid before but this time they need to put in some work. 4/10 at best.
Happy customer
Definitely will recommend this course for anyone .
