Friendly and no pressure
Great public course. Friendly staff. Great food. Definitely worth the money. No problem showing up early even on 'hot deals.' If there's room, they don't mind letting you tee off early. It's win win for everyone.
COURSE IN GREAT SHAPE
Better than 90% of courses in Bakersfield for this time of year.
Pace of play and staff
The pace of playing is very very slow they booked too many golfers 10 minutes apart half hour to 45 minutes to play staff not friendly at all

Course is smooth and well maintained.

First time playing Kern River. Did not know the course so scoring well was out the door.
Green are nice and very fast. I enjoyed the long par 3’s. Not a flat course, made it challenging 👍
Great course, no rushing, beautiful day!
Course was well kept, pace of play was second to none! Nobody hitting up on us at all and we had to wait for nobody. The wildlife including hawks, squirrels, rabbits and geese was a bonus to watching. Definitely be back soon.
Slow play
The Marshalls need tto be more attentive. The pace of play was inhibitted by a rude 5 person group who were taking 20 minutes per hole. They were loud and rude not caring about players on holes close to them.
My "Home" course..
Back when I lived here, it was my home course, decades ago. The "new" ownership ( could be 4-6 years now, not sure) has done a fabulous job in keeping the course in decent shape...for a public course, it is definitely worth checking out. If you are off the fairway ...like I usually am...the rough can be somewhat tough....not sure the type of grass...but it is thickAF....( its what i get for being a 18+ handicap😔) The food is delicious and they even serve cocktails. Friendly staff all around!
Whenever I visit Bakersfield, I always try to get a round or two in. The "hot deals" thru this app is the way to go.
