Course is in very good shape for a muni. Greens are well taken care of considering the heat experienced this year. Nice range. Tee times are adequately spaced and play was controlled by onsite Marshall. Newer carts. For Munis in South Central CA I would say this course is at the top of the rankings.

To Hot to Play
The Course was in Poor Condition. The grass was long and not cut.
Tee area’s where in Poor condition. Dry & not watered. It seems they lack employees working on the Course.
I think they need to address these issues immediately. I noticed not many Golfers after 11:00 O clock.
It’s just too Hot to Golf in Bakersfield!

You need in Early Tee Time playing Kern River. It gets very Warm out here. Course is in Fair Condition.

Good Greens but Slow Play
Always count on at least 5 hours when playing any weekend. I still enjoy this course. The greens are fast for a muni course. A good challenge.

Enjoyed this course very much. Played here for the first time. I will come back again. The only thing I will say is pace of play was a bit slow due to a large group in front of us. Other than that it was great.
