Slooooooooow
Fun easy course, but took 2 of us 5 hours to do 18 holes. Pace was just incredibly slow starting from hole 3.
One of the best courses in Bakersfield
I’ve only been playing serious golf for about the last 6 months. I love this course for its beginner friendly layout but also enough difficulty to work on all aspects of your game. The staff there as extremely helpful and flexible. Most times I check in for my tee time but want to hit the range before hand, they let me tee up whenever I want after the range if it’s not busy. Also great course to walk, and amazing community of players that you’ll run into
9.5/10
pretty much perfect got stuck behind a slow group 4. Made our total time on the course close to six hours. otherwise perfect will come back
Soggy greens especially around the pin
Good pace of play Fairways were in decent shape. Greens were extremely soggy left footprints all around the green, especially near the pin, which made putting very difficult due to the impressions made by peoples shoes.
Great value and challenging course
I play twice a month with friends. We love the course and the pace of play. Great value for what you get.
Only complaint would be golf cart needed to charged better. Mine ran out of steam mid round. Barely made it back to the clubhouse
Only time it has happened through many rounds, to be fair.
Worse course in Bakersfield
The course conditions is terrible. Either your hitting on cement or mush no in between. Greens are full of divots, looks like they havent been maintained in months. Fairways are more dirt then grass and the sand traps were rock hard.
Do not recommend this course unless its under 15 bucks
Fast play, good greens, winter fairways
Good day to play, played fast. Greens good , traps looking much better with better sand. Tee boxes don’t have a lot of green grass.fairways dormant and hard pan often without green grass to hit off of. Typical January conditions on BFL courses.
Winter conditions, ball rolls far, greens in decent shape
Played fast, nice to see good sand in most traps. Greens in good shape. Wish more golfers would repair their marks. This course is improving over time. Fairway grass is dormant and very thin during winter and is common on all courses in this area.Water to drink on the course tastes nasty. The should provide water coolers at a few holes on the course not just the clubhouse.
Fun Course
One of the fun courses in town. Just on the outskirts of Bakersfield. Fairly easy par 5s if you can keep the ball straight. If you slice you can play from a different fairway (don’t ask me how I know). Some holes have small greens. Rough play is what makes the course tough. If you don’t hit a fairway it can present a challenge. Greens are nice when people repair their pitch marks. Better conditions now from years before. Also they offer deals after 10-11:30 depending on how busy the course is playing that day. Ask how to join their discount text message notifications.
Snack bar employees are great
The course is in better shape winter and spring than it is in the summer. Pace of play is really slow on the weekends, really 6 hour rounds. Weekdays are much better. I played last Wednesday it was a 4 hour round and we’re in no hurry. Hefty veteran discount on thursdays
Great day out
Any day golfing is better than any day working. I love getting out and playing a round with my friends.
This is a great course and a great value. Lots of fun. I keep coming back for a reason.
