Brentwood Golf Club - Creekside/Hillside Course

They need to update the GPS on known apps and they need to mow all fairways not just some…the roughs could be better manicured as well…overall I like the course and the layout…just fix the small things…and hire a regular cart person that will show up on weekends!

The course has much potential; unfortunately, the details are poorly attended to. The bunkers are just dirt, the greens are poor, and the watering schedule is leaving mud pits in low areas. The tee boxes were fair, and the carts drove nicely. It's a shame because if the course were properly maintained, it could be a gem. As it is, I'll be nice and say it's a good value at under $50 with a cart.

You can tell this course had some good ole glory days. The course layout was good, the restaurant was very nice, the location was good, but it has definitely been neglected. Carts were dirty with cobwebs in the cubby holes with dirty/broken windshields, tee boxes were like the rough, weeds all over the fairway, bunker were dirt (not sand) and the greens were blotchy. Sorry. New management is definitely needed.

Do not play this course. I would give this course no stars if I could. This course is so run down now. The greens are in the worst shape I’ve ever seen, almost unplayable, The fairways have never been great but even worse than before. Don’t fall for the free food or beer with your round. There was wedding that day so I got none of that. Also no cart girl. This owner should just close it down. I was embarrassed to say I live 2 minutes away from here.

I have golfed at Brentwood since 1999, roughly 100+ times. Over the years, the course has changed ownership and it struggles to keep up with maintenance. I realize that it is costly and for us in East County, we have seen 4 courses closed and now just down to 3 courses to choose from.

While the round through golf now is a bargain, the Brentwood Golf Course needs some investment money to get it back. And for me, if they just could re-open the Diablo 9 hole course and make it walking only, it would take some of the stress off the 18 hole course with pace of play. Oh, and change the water in the ball washers, they smell like a sewer.

Course is in bad condition. Greens all have fungus and very bumpy. No sand in traps. Maybe 4-5 temporary holes. Good value though at $37 for 18 holes.

No starter and backed up on 1st hole. Greens very patchy. Average course which should be well cheaper than the price paid.

This course has potential if the owners would actually maintain the holes. Tee times are cheap and you get what you pay for

The course is reasonably priced compared to most. The greens are a little rough and saturated . The new back nine is a little wonky and if you have a yardage app like swing u, the new layout isn’t on the yardage app so judging distances is didficult

I'm not sure what's going on, but the course conditions are poor in some areas; it's probably the least well-maintained course I've played this year. It's doable, but I'm baffled why they still use GPS on the carts to prevent driving on certain fairways. Those fairways are in terrible shape and have been for years. Worst, if you accidentally drive onto the fairway, the cart cuts off, and 'pushing' might be needed. There are nicer courses available to play in the surrounding area.

The one staff member we encountered was friendly. Pace of play and conditions were ridiculous. The $2.50 lunch and free soda or beer (didn't have either) could not entice me to come back. Too bad, I enjoyed this course years ago.

Reasonably priced.

Fairways in excellent condition. Greens in great condition.

Pace of play is perfect. No delays and no waiting time.

The course is good for the price you pay. The bunkers are not kept. They are hard and some of them muddy. The fair ways and greens are decent, good for a day of practice on the course but I personally won’t use this course to hold a tournament event. There are parts of the course with water puddles. Seems like they need better grounds keeper.

My biggest complaint is their carts. They keep pushing their older carts first and I’ve had many a times experienced break downs with them.
