Brentwood Golf Club - Creekside/Hillside Course

The staff is friendly and professional. The Fairways are cut nicely. The greens are fast and true. To top it off, I had a albatross on Hillside 4 PAR 5 471 Yards. I hit driver, then 5 wood 200 Yards out over the water and in the hole. Beautiful signature hole at BCC. Water hazards along the right all the way to an island green.

I decided to play a round of golf here for the second straight week. The course is really coming along. I met a guy at the first tee box. He decided to let me go in front of him. For some reason he looked familiar. The round was slower than last week. So after nine holes we decided to hook up and play the back 9 together with another single. On the 11th hole I asked mark who I met on the first hole his last name. He said Hurtado. I told him that my last name was flores. I played football and basketball with his older brother in high school. I know the family very well. Go play the course it’s in great shape greens are rolling well. You even might hook up with somebody you might know.

I am a relatively fast player, I know there a lot of retirees that live and play at the course. That said I am 65 and detest a SLOW Single holding up play and not encouraging other to pass and play through. You, Mr. Slow Player are 70+ nowhere to go, nothing to do, enjoy the course, let others play through! Especially while you put 3 in the water and hit a goose on 1 hole.

I had to be in the area for a task, so I booked a round (Creekside/Hillside). Course was in better shape than I anticipated ( except, the bunkers do need raking). Got on a little early & finished in 3 hours (got to play individually). Will return to try the combo tees.

I played with my friend Joe F. We had a great time. We were paired up with a single. We pretty much had the course to ourselves. The tee boxes and fairways are looking fantastic!! I’ve played this course numerous times. This is the best conditions I’ve seen. The only thing that is a slight problem is the he gps on the steering column. It will make sure that you don’t go in the wrong spots on the course and the cart will stop on you. Also we were on the cart path a couple times and the gps says we are in a restricted area, and continues to have a very annoying beeping sound. Besides that the course is in great shape!!!

Great and challenging course. Fairways and greens well kept. Only complaints were pace of play and carts were very limited where they were allowed. No marshall to speed pace of play. Threesome in front of us were EXCRUTIAtINGLY slow. Carts had GPS limiter and carts were generally only allowed on cart path for Par 3’s and most 4’s. Otherwise, great value

Greens and fairways are excellent. Greens are really fast. Bunkers are ok but lots of players are not raking them after play. No marshals to impose but, not needed, if only we have to be mindful of players following us…be gentleman to others.

First thing I noticed was my GPS didn’t work right away when I started playing. Internet connection not very good. Still a lot of work to be done before it gets back to its old good course to play again and again. I paired up with another guy. Hopefully when I play again the course will be in a much better shape!

Friendly staff at pro desk and cart personal

Course was in better shape than some previous reviews stated. I was an original member when the course only had none holes. Greens were very good and fairways much improved. Some tee areas could use attention. Entrance and exit signs to the fairways for carts a good and welcome feature. I am sure there is work in progress however most of the bunkers were unplayable due to conditions. I will most defiantly return and look forward to improved conditions in the future. Question, are there plans for at least a practice putting green and chipping area? Being very Emilia with the layout it seems the only area would be to shorten Diablo #1 and install a practice green and chipping area where the current tees boxes are located.

This used to be a "go-to" course for me, I doubt I'll make the hour drive from Newark again. It's the little things that get noticed. Slow play and no marshal. Lots of sand traps, all of which haven't been raked in what looks like weeks. 7 minute tee time slots when 10 minute slots would help the pace of play. Home depot door on the on course bathroom and faucet in the clubhouse bathroom that has very little water. The best part is the layout of the course and somehow the greens are in really good shape. Being MLK the place was packed so you wonder why money isn't being put into the course. If you haven't been here in a while, the driving range, putting green and all practice areas are gone to make room for new houses. My highlight was playing with a young stud who hit it in the back sand trap on 13 with driver 5 iron, wow. I'm not coming back but I know there are as many choices out there, plan on bumping everything and have a fun day.

Course is decent for the price. Conditions could be a little better but oh well. Layout is fun.

The course was in decent shape. Although everything just off of the rough was extremely overgrown. A slight miss of the fairway is an immediate lost ball which is very frustrating. But besides that we enjoyed our round

Played on a day with special discounted fee. No driving range and no putting greens. Played behind senior men’s club. Course condition was better than expected. Played from the whites. Tee boxes were ok; can use some maintenance. Fairways have a few soft areas and bare areas, but overall in decent shape. Greens were in good condition and were surprisingly fast! Course is definitely in better condition than what I was led to believe from other comments. Would play the course more if their regular fees is a bit lower compared to some of the better courses.
