DeBell Golf Club

It's much better maintained than before and it's a really fun course...

Great course, it’s on the shorter side but the layout demands precision iron shots

We normally love DeBell, however, not so much today.

The course was under repair (hole 15 was closed completely & tractors on 8 & 9); the grass was cut on several holes during play; and a party of 5 ahead of us shot 2 & 3 balls each which slowed the pace of game tremendously. While some of the disappointment was beyond the control of management, some could have been avoided had we been informed of course conditions at checkin.

My friends and I have been there many times, and I don’t know why we even consider going back. Yesterday was the worse though. We show up to a “back 9 only” day which is fine but was in the absolute small print. No reminder or notification pre-purchase. Also no mention of one of the holes being completely out of commission. We were waved down by construction workers on site, and told we could not play it (so that leaves 8 holes, if you’re keeping count)

I also told the employee at the clubhouse when we rounded back for our second go at the back 9 (because we paid for a full 18) that one of the holes was unplayable because of construction and they were actually 2 holes being worked on, to which he responded “not true, only one hole is being worked on” (we made sure to take a picture to show him when we finished our round) Hole 14 AND 15 both had workers. The cherry on top was we were still expected to pay the FULL price of $47 dollars. Absolutely insane. It’s a shame because I’ve always loved debell golf club but their service, and amenities fall VERY SHORT compared to a lot of other courses near by.

I’m never someone who complains, I’m very laid back, but the blatant disrespect and condescending tone for someone paying full price for a half price (at best) experience, I had no choice but to leave a review.

I will be taking my business elsewhere and I strongly suggest you do too.

Booked this through Golfnow, played there once before but forgot what a fun place to play.

Course was in excellent shape, no one in front of us pace perfect!!!

Good Fairways and Greens. Tough short course, but fair!

This will be short! I loved it and will come back for sure….scenery and the course is in great shape!

Fun course, greens were fantastic, great value for the price! Highly recommend playing!

I’ recently relocated to LA after a 25 year absence. The traffic never disappoints. I left the house an hour n a half before my which should have been. 33 minute ride. 2 hours later and a mondo traffic jam, I was still 45 minutes out. Dejected I got off and went home.

I’ve played this track before. A hidden gem in LA.

Good course. Really casual setting. Overall it’s a good and challenging course for beginners. Tee times are too close for my liking. I felt that we had the group behind us at all times. Fees were a little high in my opinion for this caliber of course.
