DeBell Golf Club
About
DeBell Golf Club in Burbank offers an 18-hole Regulation Course and a nine-hole disc golf course. The Regulation Course has a tight layout with narrow fairways and a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Accuracy is the key to doing well on this golf course but it's not overly punishing. Its risk-reward holes will appeal to low and high handicappers alike. The front nine is fairly challenging but the back nine is where the golf course gets tough. Although DeBell Golf Club is short, only 5,608 yards from the back tees, the blind shots and winding doglegs make it seem much longer than it is. There isn't any water on the golf course but you'll hardly miss its presence with all the other hazards that lurk throughout.

Tough layout
The course was in decent shape, a bit wet but that’s from the rains. The driving range is a bit of a letdown though.
Leave the driver at home.
A quirky course that is short, narrow, and requires good iron play.
Rainy day and slow play
I had heard very good things about the course prior to playing so my hopes were high.
I found the pace of play to be unbearable. We ended up getting hit with rain on whole 13 and trudged it out until hole 16. By then we were 4 1/2 hours into our round. It was painfully slow. Once the hail started I drove in for the day.
The course itself has a ton of character with tricky holes and target shooting. A GPS device is mandatory to survive this course plus having someone with course knowledge.
The greens are tiny and challenging
Great conditions
Course in great condition. Fast greens. Lots of dog legs so teeing up with irons are common. Definitely will be playing here again!
First Timer
First time playing this course. Lots of dog legs and fast greens. Course was very well maintained. Will definitely play here again.
Course is not easy but good for practice
I played here several times and it was not an easy course because the course is really narrow. However, the hot deal price is really good and it is worthy
Very challenging, with super-fast greens
The course is tough -- although it is short, it is a handful. And tough is OK -- we need to be challenged. But honestly the greens were very, very fast. Maybe it is because it was hot and dry, and has been for a couple weeks. But for a first timer on the course, it was difficult to adjust. After making what seemed to be decent approaches, too often I was punished by what turned out to be basically drop puts that just would not stop. It has a lot of elevation changes. doglegs, narrow fairways and very small greens. Fairways OK but patchy in places. Be prepared to bring your A-game or it will be a tough day!
Yardage Stakes Needed
The course layout is quite interesting but problems go to that there's no yardage stakes. You may play your hunch on what club to use for your tee shots on many many holes. I like that all the clubs should be used at this course. IF they place yardage stakes, the course will be rated one of the best courses in LA area.
Average Public Course
Tee’d off at 3p, played 9 holes in 2.25hrs. Tee boxes need work, soggy and no grass from the blues on a lot of the holes. Fairways are average and the greens are small and firm. You will like it if you are into short courses, this one is more placement for successful approaches. Overall not bad, I would go again but not anytime soon.
I love DeBell!
I love this course. It is challenging and gorgeous. Thank you
First timer - COVID Jan mid-week round
Never played here before, but kept widening the radius on my search range until I could find something available during my time off work and found myself teeing off at 7:40 with no delays or hassles (no practice amenities available due to COVID either).
The course is very interesting- winding its way through the hills, and it was quite the workout for me with a push-cart (though still totally doable). The greens were well maintained and rolled true - though having never played there before, they baffled me over and over. Bring an accurate long game for the par 3s, and tight drives!
Definitely had a great time and played nice and fast with an early tee time. Not my favorite layout, but I’m glad I tried it out and it was a good bargain for $30 walking!
