DeBell Golf Club
About
DeBell Golf Club in Burbank offers an 18-hole Regulation Course and a nine-hole disc golf course. The Regulation Course has a tight layout with narrow fairways and a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Accuracy is the key to doing well on this golf course but it's not overly punishing. Its risk-reward holes will appeal to low and high handicappers alike. The front nine is fairly challenging but the back nine is where the golf course gets tough. Although DeBell Golf Club is short, only 5,608 yards from the back tees, the blind shots and winding doglegs make it seem much longer than it is. There isn't any water on the golf course but you'll hardly miss its presence with all the other hazards that lurk throughout.

best secret in Burbank
The staff is amazing. Loved this beautiful course!
hidden gem
first time playing here, i will be back not the longest of courses but it makes you think (just a little) about what to hit and where to aim. the greens were immaculate the fairways were in decent shape there were a few here and there where were a few dirt patches but overall a great course
Great Course !
Fun course to play with friends! Amazing Views and challenging play. Greens are in great condition and are very difficult for beginners like myself but it helps your game in ! would recomend to play to anyone!
Bad Customer Service
Guy in the pro shop could have been nicer and more welcoming. He seemed bothered when I asked him a question. I guess he forgot he works in the service industry. The round was slow, went out at 12:30 and finished at 5:20. We were starving after an almost five hour round. We get to the club house and they tell us the kitchen is closed. Terrible!!
Fun course but very slow pace.
Fun layout w/ narrow fairways lined w/ trees. The pace is very slow. Constantly waiting between shots. Overall good course, but would be much more enjoyable if they didn't pack people onto the course.
Club selection is key.
Challenging course, if your used to playing longer course's. Club selection and yardage are important here, as the fairways are pretty tight. And several elevated tee boxes. Bring your irons, you will need them.
Unreasonable Greens
De Bell golf course is not a fun place to play. The fairways are in rough shape. The greens are a joke to put on. 3-4 putts on most greens are common. I played with three other golfers who would agree with me 100%. The only nice thing I can say is that it is nice and quiet there. The surroundings are pleasant. They should work on the greens, flatten then out a little and slow them down. The fairways are rough and spotty. I'm not in any hurry to go back there that's for sure.
I'm a mudder!
Went out immediately following a (rare) rainstorm and we had the course to ourselves; thus the Pace of Play was excellent. The course was not pristine but it's better than some other golf courses in the area. I liked the "curvy" course because it works for my lack of a drive. On many holes you don't want to drive very far because the course curves. Therefore my short drives were "on par" with the other long ball hitters because they had to set-up too! While not expensive it ain't cheap either so it's a good value for the money.
My new go to course in LA
I travel to LA on business from northern Calif. every now and then. I decided to take my clubs this trip and Play De Bell. It's a fun course with lots of elevation changes both on the course and between holes.
Staff friendliness was average but seems to be the norm for golf courses/pro shops. I have found that bike shop staff members are 5x friendlier than golf employees.
A little piece of nature near the city.
Beautiful scenery and interesting holes. Three deer watched us play the first hole, a coyote was on the course a little later. Plenty of challenges in the course, think target golf, narrow fairways, brush that will make finding an errant shot impossible and up and down hill holes. As far as pace of play, one threesome, several holes ahead of us, held up the course. A Marshall might have helped. The driving range looks a bit rough. I'll give it another try for sure.
Well Worth Playing
This is my first time playing DeBell, and as a +/- 18 index, very challenging, really liked it and will play this course again very soon. Really required me to think hard about each and every shot, while keeping it fun.
Amazing course
Challenging course in a beautiful setting; probably frustrating for high hcp
De Bell
Nice Course! Did not see anyone driving up the hill. Waited for ~30 minutes on the 1st hole. Found two groups of women holding several other groups back. Passed them and had the Best Time. No one in front or behind us the rest of the day on the course.
This is a really nice course and the weather was perfect. The staff are nice. Highly recommend!
Target golf is DeBell
I enjoy DeBell for the target golf aspect. Too many men watch PGA golf and think they need 7000 yards when they play. DeBell will show you that short holes can be very challenging. You don't need the driver much at DeBell, but on #10 you better rip a good one. There are 3 good long par 3's and a blind one (the "Bell") hole. Aim just right of the big tree.
Good wildlife. At one point I had 7 coyotes just hanging out around my tee. They were no threat. I saw a ton of deer. Like most hillside courses there is a lot of wildlife.
The Clubhouse is definitely one of the coolest looking ones in LA for public courses. Oh.....and the genuinely nice, engaging, blonde cart girl is never a terrible thing.
De bell
Good time. Very slow pace the people ahead of us were loud annoying and had no respect for golf but over all it was a fun round nice course for a muni
Great Time
This course is tougher than expected. Your shot needs to be placed due to narrow fairways. If you can place your shots, you should not have a problem shooting par or better. I play randomly and know this course is not forgiving. The course location is nice, given Burbank is just down the hill. I golfed with my Compa and a friend. We had a coyote walk within 10 feet and 3 does joined us on the 10th tee, talk about town and county.
Scenic views and good course conditions
We played this course at 10:30 on a Saturday. I have always enjoyed playing here. Although the course is not long it is very challenging because the fairways are narrow and everything seems like it is a dog leg. The greens were punched about a month ago so they were rolling true and nice. You have to be smart about your club selection here because using a driver off the tee can get you in trouble. I recommend this course to anyone.
This course is challenging but fun.
Narrow fairway, deep roughparticularly around green and fast green. Great test bed for accurate shot making. Want to challenge again.
Stunning views in the heart of Los Angeles
This course sits in the canyon areas of the Verdugo Mountains. It is a spectacular find in the Los Angeles area. I witnessed mule deer and a pack of coyotes moving about the course while I was playing. Great views of the city, and one hole that overlooks the heart of the entertainment industry in Burbank.
Course is challenging, yet fun. Check it out!!
Greens were Aerated
Since the Greens were Aerated, the price of $50.00 was too much. You don't enjoy the game when the greens are aerated, which however needs to be done to upkeep the greens, however we should have been warned and the price should have been discounted.
