Date Palm Country Club
About
Nestled in Coachella Valley, Date Palm Country Club sits at the base of the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa mountain ranges, providing nearly every hole on the golf course with a stunning view. The course is the centerpiece of a popular retirement community near Palm Springs, a location that enjoys nice weather year-round and is just 20 minutes from shopping, dining, and museums. The layout is on the shorter side, but it still has some challenging holes. The golf course demands accuracy with every contour of the rolling terrain and you'll be put to the test even further when maneuvering the small greens and narrow fairways. The bunkering is minimal but strategic at Date Palm C.C., and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. In addition to the golf course, there is a practice putting green.

My tee shot on the second hole. It was nice to get a birdie early. Photo submitted by Napawillie on 03/30/2015
Golf course on top of trailer homes
We started the experience poorly by having the staff member tell my girlfriend that she couldn’t wear a Lacoste golf tank top in 100+ degree weather because the course required a collared shirt. Give me a break. This is course located on top of a mobile home park! The course is surrounded by homes with no protection whatsoever. It feels like a situation where a homeowner will sue you if you hit anything and lots of people sitting out and watching you. Very awkward.
The golf cart wouldn’t go more than 5 mph and couldn’t even go up a hill.
Didn’t even both playing 9 holes as the course was also in poor condition. Don’t go here; you can play cimmaron for the same price and have an infinitely better experience.
Great course to practice your short game
It was my second time playing this course. I started playing gold 5 months ago & it's a great course to practice your short game. Course layout is flat, mostly Par 3s. Staff is very friendly & accommodating & you can't beat the price.
Great Course!!
My wife and I really like this course! It’s challenging, very clean, great fairways and greens are good for this time of year. This will be my last review. This course is a hidden jewel, I’m not going to tell anyone about it. Playing this course helps us improve our short game. Plus! We are going to keep it our secret place to play!! Got my first EAGLE today 250 yd par four chipped in from the fringe with a seven iron! FINALLY!!
Awesome
Very nice course, the Laid-out beautiful the price can’t beat the price family friendly had a great time, we love this course, I’ll be recommending this course to anybody who like to play part-3 courses.
Fun, little executive course
Date palm country club was in excellent condition for the summer. The greens were in good shape save for a couple dry spots, but it is also summertime. It’s a fairly straightforward layout nothing surprising, but it does allow you to hit all your irons, and hit small greens. It’s a great value for the price. I would definitely play again.
Greens are in bad shape
Most of the course is OK; Greens punched a couple of weeks ago and still full of holes. Some burned out and little grass. We'll see if it will survive the summer before closing to overseed.
1st time
Fun little executive course. Greens were a little choppy from aeration.
Punched Greens
Usually slow greens were even worse this time due to recent punch and sand. No warning on golf now about the conditions of the greens.
No matter, chipped in for eagle on a par 4, so didn't have to worry about putting.
Overall, course in good shape and good place to work on your iron play.
Where It Began
I learned to play on this course four years ago. So when I set onto the first tee and drive that little white ball, it amazes me that I usually am a 5 stroke on a 3 par! They take excellent care of the entire course, clean golf carts, and the staff is very welcoming! The challenges are the 8th hole where I have to hit over water and again the 12th - water is not my friend. However, I enjoy the course and play several times - this is how I judge where my game is for the day! Try it - you will love it!
Greens in excellent condition
Greens still running slow, but a little faster than usual. The course is in great condition for the most part.. A few challenging par 3's with some length and water hazards. Overall it's a fairly easy executive course, but a lot of fun to play to practice irons and short game.
Nice time,
Played early morning, had to wear out masks but that was fine, really enjoy playing Date Palm .
Short but fun.
