Date Palm Country Club
About
Nestled in Coachella Valley, Date Palm Country Club sits at the base of the San Jacinto and Santa Rosa mountain ranges, providing nearly every hole on the golf course with a stunning view. The course is the centerpiece of a popular retirement community near Palm Springs, a location that enjoys nice weather year-round and is just 20 minutes from shopping, dining, and museums. The layout is on the shorter side, but it still has some challenging holes. The golf course demands accuracy with every contour of the rolling terrain and you'll be put to the test even further when maneuvering the small greens and narrow fairways. The bunkering is minimal but strategic at Date Palm C.C., and the occasional water hazard also comes into play. In addition to the golf course, there is a practice putting green.

My tee shot on the second hole. It was nice to get a birdie early. Photo submitted by Napawillie on 03/30/2015
Executive Awesomeness
$25 with a cart on a weekend for an executive 18 doesn't get better value wise.
The course was exceptionally green and well maintained. Where some desert courses will cut water costs and brown their fairways, there was no corning cutting here.
The greens were even soft enough to catch a 6, but run your putts past if you weren't careful.
Excellent staff directed us around the course and the cart tender picked up the cart from our trunk, which was extremely nice.
It was my girlfriend's 1st time golfing and it was the perfect course to introduce the game.
Great local course
As a beginner, this course is not intimidating, yet challenging. The course prices are great and everything is easy to get to. When the restaurant is open, this place is all things in one spot.
Nice short course
Staff was very friendly. Course is in good condition. Great practice for the short game. It was 105* when I played, so course was fairly wide open. I played in 2 hrs with some mulligans for practice. People living on the course are also very nice. Like others have said, I do believe I used every club in the bag. It's a great value. I will return.
great spot
I lile it a lot for a fast round.....lots of 3s staff is really nice. Buckets of ice in bar next to golf shop.
Great Practice for Short Game
Greens were being aerated and ran a bit slow, but great little course and friendly staff.
Great Value
We live in Palm Springs for 6 months durning the winter and just played Date Palm, most of our friends that play it keep telling us it's for beginners and we wouldn't like. We played anyway and both enjoyed the round. Course has the right amount of water, nice views and interesting layout. The greens are slow but well maintained and roll nicely. We will return!
Great executive course.
Hard to not like this course. Perfect for a quick round
great place
golf course is great, always golf there Can use every club in the bag
Good value in April
Golf Now Hot Deals make this course an excellent value. I wouldn`t pay full price to play it. Good for your short game, narrow fairways, lots of houses to hit. Very few players in the hot afternoons so a very relaxing, fun 2 and a half hours.
Nice little short track
I played date palm solo, mid-day. The pace was good. The fairways were nice, greens a little slow. I got a super price through golf now and played in a little over 2 hours. Nice, quick round
Friendly staff
Carts need to be washed. John, Ted and Dennis are great!
Misleading Online "Hotdeal"
I was mislead to believe there was no charge for this golf round only to be charged $46.98 for booking and golf for my partner and I. I don't mind paying for my golf but it will be difficult getting my partners share when we thought our golf was free.
Just Another Executive Course
Older short course that meanders through what appears to be a fairly nicely kept mobil home retirement community. Lots of big trees and enough water to make for some tight tee shots. The greens were coarse and slow but would hold a well struck shot. The driving range only had about 8-10 stalls from which you hit your balls ($3 small bucket) out into a large sandy drainge canal. It was only OK but not a bad value for the money.
3 par in a trailer park!
a great staff! Vic is the man, Date palm has seen better days! if you are over 60 & like a short 3 par course this is for you! I booked a T-time, thinking this was a regular course, maybe a little outdated or public style, a short 3 par, to be nice... ( I think golf now needs another category for 3-par courses!
Nice little executive course for a beginner/older player
The course is well worth $20 if you are a beginner golfer or a golfer who cannot hit the ball more than 150 yards and therefore shouldn't be on a regulation golf course. Lots of shade on this course. The fellow in the pro shop should not have a job in any public relations position. Rude and obnoxious are the only words that I could print to describe him.
Great value,.
Short course but accuracy is a premium greens in good condition and very friendly star. The Restaraunt and patio are a nice place to cool off and food great.
Very nice and challenging short course.
A very enjoyable course, well kept up and it has a few challenging holes. Nice bunkers and a few water hazards. We will definitely play this course again.
Nice short course
Fun and well maintained short course with four Par 4 holes that allow the use of some longer clubs. All the holes are straight but there are some water hazards to keep it interesting. Great deal for a quick round of golf. The clubhouse has great food and drinks.
Nice Little Executive Course
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by this course. For a short executive course, it had it's challenges. The overall condition of the course was only average - the greens were a bit long and bumpy, the tees were a little uneven, and the fariways were slightly better than average. What made this course fun to play was the layout of the holes. The trees made the 4 par 4s tricky - even though they were all short. And water, traps, and trees made several of the par 3s tougher than their short distance would imply. This condition of this course is not as nice as Oasis Country Club (another executive course in the Coachella Valley), but this course is cheaper - and probably a slightly better value. And, the food in the restaurant is very good.
Fun course
great place for a fun game with minimal difficulty or stress.
