Los Lagos at Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club

tldr - if youve got nothing to do and your day is completely free, then this is the course for you. otherwise, expect an avg wait time of 20min between holes and ~6hrs to play 18.

in general, the course is fine. the clubhouse is fine. the prices are fine. and the staff is fine. but the wait time between holes is absolutely insane. at one point at hole 3, we waited 30-40min to tee off. there were 3 groups waiting. my group (threesome) tees off at 1:24pm and finished at 7:30pm. marshal came around once but didnt help speed of play. i dont know exactly what’s causing this mayhem, but the management team needs to do something. youve absolutely lost me as a future patron.

Tee’d off just after 2 pm on a Friday and it took over 3 hours to finish the front 9, no Marshall. Snack bar between 9 and 10 was closed. Literally waiting behind 5 groups on 7, back 9 was a little faster but finished at 830. Would no my recommend unless u go when it’s busy

Love this course and everyone working there. Unfortunately, the past few times we've played, we've gone off between 20 and 40 minutes after our 'reserved' tee time and yesterday was a rhythm killing 5.5+ hr round. Normally uncharacteristic, but yesterday was a beast.

Played Mesa Linda. Fairways and greens were in excellent shape.

Super slow pace of play, I would recommend this course if the pace of play is faster. Single player was not given a cart, needed to share with a stanger.

very good fairways and greens. smaller greens than what i am used to and very tricky to read. we had a great time!

we will play the other course next time aournd.

Overall the course n pace of play was adequate. My only criticism was the 9th hole did not flow back into the clubhouse.
