Five and a half hours for a round is way too slow. People need to learn to hit a ball before attempting this course.

The Marshal said 5 1/2 hours is not unusual here. Oh dear!

Not sure how this happens but it ruins the experience for everyone. We have all been in a round at 5+ hours and it’s a brutal experience. Letting groups of 5 out with no carts is unforgivable. Not having marshals driving around and telling folks to keep up with pace of play is a big miss. We walked off after the 8th hole. It took 2.5 hrs to play 8 holes; from 10am - 12:30. Waiting on every tee box. Really disappointing that they oversell this course and jam as many people in as possible. Cam’t imagine what the afternoon backup is.

The course is in pretty good shape and the greens were great, so bummed it took so long.

Pretty good course conditions but still too many players on the course. With a pre-twilight tee time, 3 hrs to finish the front 9.

The pace is terrible! Tee time at 12::30p, finished around 6pm. Fee is $47 walking, cart additional $26 each person. That’s a lot for a cart charge! Total $73 for this course is not worth the money !

3 hours for the first 9 holes, overall 5.5 hours for 18 holes - is totally un-acceptable.

The slowest course ever - 5.5 hours for a round - over-packed with slow players. Even the Marshall said this was not unusual, as we left.

If you want to play golf - instead of always standing around in a queue of 2-4 playing groups waiting to play the next hole - choose a different course.

For me? - - never again at Costa Mesa CC, Los Lagos. Disgraceful.

Every round is so slow. Played on a Friday morning and it took forever. It makes golf not fun. Greens were awful. Tee boxes were awful. Never playing another round here.

Nice, weather nice condition, Nice staff. Nice Design, not hard but not easy just about right.

If there is something bad, a little over watered in few holes(1 or 2), no view(which for the public course, is normal) Am I asking too much?

Overall a very good public course with 36 holes in nice weather area and good price.

we started at 2:18pm and finished at 5:40pm with front 9 holes.

waited for each hole. Satisfied to play through hole no 13 until sunset time 6:45pm.

I got an irritating experience of just our front team; 4 each player hit their ball at the same position every time even putting which is selected as a best location. Further more those guys had too much drinking ,nosing and laughing.

That’s another reason to take a more time than normal playing.

First of all, great value… Layoutt is both fun and challenging. Condition of greens (People fix your ball marks!) and the course in general were very good. I did see some negative reviews regarding pace of play and all I can say is that 4 hours and 50 minutes on Friday afternoon is not terrible and we definitely had people in front of us, and in front of them and in front of them, etc.

And like I said… Best of all a great value and I will definitely play again next time I’m here

We love our local course Los Lagos. Plenty of room to stretch out your arms and mash drives with lots of Par 5s. The course layout is awesome and the conditions were excellent. Great value per round.

love the layout, well kept fairways, tee boxes, bunkers, slightly bumpy greens(blame the careless players).

played los lagos on 9/13 Friday started at around 2:30pm played last 3 holes in the dark. wait on every shot and starting on hole 3 already 3 groups waiting on tee. called the starter for marshal assistance and the guy comes to reassure that it is perfectly normal on a friday afternoon. i wished he would proceed to go forward to check for gaps and slow play but he was confidently assuring us that pace of play will get better after the 7th hole. over 6 hours wasted on a great course but terrible place of play due to lazy marshals.

5+hour round. Greens were good..tough undulations. But the collars were so fuzzy so you either had to play a crazy good flop shot around the greens bc a bump and run could stop dead on the collar or shoot through the green if you over compensate. How hard would it be to shave down the collars a bit????

Slow as heck, wouldn’t come back, obviously they want to make money and don’t care about the slow as heck pace!!!!

Never seen the course in such great condition. Greens were really smooth and fast. Can’t beat the value either and the pace of play was incredibly fast. Finished in 4:15!

Andy the starter was great! Always so nice and helpful. Course was in really good condition considering all the heat the past 3 weeks. Love both courses. Long time customer since the 80’s. Greens were rolling too. Keep up the good maintenance and of course KEEP Andy!
