Los Lagos
We played a 2:30 twilight round on Los Lagos.
The course is in beautiful shape.
Took us 3 hours to finish the front 9.
The long Pat 3’s really backup the course.
What we were not happy about was not the waiting, but we got to about #12 and the group in front of us had burned through the hole pretty quickly. The Marshall drives by (for the first time all day) and tells us we need to pickup our pace after waiting literally every single shot up til that time. We finished the hole and the group in front of us are still waiting on the next tee box waiting for the group in front of them. Needless to say, we only got through 16 holes because daylight had run out.

Done with this course.
I have been playing this course for years and years every time giving it another chance thinking this pace of play will pick up and today is the straw that broke the camels back. 3.5 hrs later we’re barely finishing 9 holes. Pull up to 10 with a 4 group back up. I’m sorry but a 7 hour round is just not for me. Doesn’t matter the time or day. Expect to play a 5-7 hour round.

Course was in great condition weather was very nice. Play was slow due to high school players, two groups of five in front of us.

Awful customer service / DONT PLAY THIS COURSE
We booked a tee time a week in advance which included a cart. When we arrived they informed us we cant use a cart in the course we payed for. They did offer us to play the other course with a cart if we agrees to pay $55 per person. Outrageous. I am 58 and disabled, my playing partner id 69. We cant walk 18 holes. We were forced to cancel the round and left to battle with Golf Now to get a refund. All the course had to do is let us play the other course with a cart. But no. AWFUL SERVICE. ZERO COMMON SENSE.

Good but slow
Nice course but a 6 hour round on a Monday is a bit much.

Fun golfer
Course is good for all ,players, but some think they hit farther than possible so wait time is slow

Read the reviews and if it is true then shame on this course
I was reading the reviews and was quite shocked to see a gripe about an employee being racially discriminatory to Asians. If this is true, Costa Mesa will be losing customers very quickly. Asians make up a big majority on Southern California courses. Make a resolution and solve the problem of staff before you lose money you are already losing. Sad to hear about this in 2023.
Negligence in dealing with formal customer service complaints on racial discriminationation
We’ve been a local resident for nearly 30 years and played at the course for over a decade, was part of the womens membership, and play there regularly. When we filed our second racial discrimination complaint to the manager about a specific employee who was rude to the asian american community, we were told as a “good will” our fees will be refunded and the case will be investigated. Our desired outcome was to receive some explanation as to why the employee treated our party the way they did and to get an apology. It’s been 2 weeks and there has been no resolution (no refund) and only excuses when we followed up with the manager. If you believe in equality and zero tolerance in discrimination or even zero tolerance to unacceptable customer service, avoid this golf course.
Always a great track
Extra wet, and the rough is up which present a challenge you don’t normally face around here. With all the rain, the greens are in great shape. Gonna be top notch as it dries back out! Go enjoy the elements, this is how golf was designed to be played!
