Slow play is an understatement
I reluctantly booked los lagos knowing how slow the play is at this course. I'm done, no more, have given this course enough chances. They always over book and stack 8-12 players at the first tee. Half the people are crazy hacks and slow players with bad etiquette or walk the course at turtle pace. I get it, its a cheaper course. However if they doubled their price but spaced players out appropriately, I think people would appreciate and want to play here. This place makes the play speed at Rancho San Joaquin in Irvine look like the Indy 500. Los Lagos seriously, 3hrs15mins to play front 9 on a weds starting at 1150am is not only unacceptable but a crime. Will never play here again....i have given you 7tries all on a different day of the week and various times no later than 12pm. Ridiculous and shamef on you course management

Slower Than Ever!
I've played both courses many times and enjoy both courses.
This last Saturday's pace of play was the slowest on any course I've ever played. We started at 2pm and it took
3 1/2 hours to play just 9 holes!
I'm hoping they fix this.

TOOK 2 HOURS TO PLAY THROUGH FIRST 3 HOLES
This was the slowest round of golf I have ever played. It took 2 hours to play through the first 3 holes. Every single hole was backed up worse than I have ever seen. We started at 2:30 and only played 9 holes by the time it got dark at 5:30. To pay $50 each for only 9 holes when we should have gotten through at least 15 holes was pretty ridiculous. It was a disappointing round.

Don’t play here
Sadly been playing this course for 10 years and the same grumpy head pro works in the shop! Guy literally hates his life. It was my fault to play on a holiday three hours to make it around the turn. They were pumping out five-somes all day.

Good course but…
Horrible pace of play. 3 hours to finish the front 9. And its not new, pretty much every weekend its backed up like crazy.
Too bad because both courses are fun.

Creat Course, Not staff.
I love playing here but I always try no minimize my time at the shop or interacting with any staff there except the snack bar staff. I always get talked to like if I was a bother. Sucks because I truly love the course but at times I’d rather play other courses with friendlier staff members.

Frustrating home course
The pace of play is a guaranteed issue here no matter what time or day of the week you book. It's extremely frustrating as this is 10 minutes from my house and it's always overbooked. Would gladly pay more for longer tee time intervals as the conditions are always decent and it has a great layout for a practice round.

They need to make some changes
I really like Costa Mesa. Good range, fun layout, good conditions, especially considering the traffic. However, it's time for them to raise prices and cut back on tee times. Pace of play is unbearable on the weekend. This week I walked off after #12. Last week I walked off after #9.
Lagos starts with back to back Par 5s. By the time we made it to the Par 3 4th, there were 3 groups backed up. Things ease slightly on 5 & 6, only to get logged jammed again on #7. The course layout and player mix (a lot of blue hairs and beginner hacks) just don't allow for 7 minute intervals.
6 hr rounds are just unacceptable. If they can get pace of play to 4.5 hrs they could easily charge $75-80/ round with no complaints and a full tee sheet.

Over booked tee times
The last 4 times I’ve played here the tee box is 3 times behind. We tee off 20 min after our time. The course is nice but pace of play is terrible. We wait 10 min a hole and lose feel of the game. This will be the last time I play here.

Great course, slow play
The course was in great shape and the guys that I got paired up with were great to talk with. Only downside was the pace. We were supposed to start at 1:27, didn't tee off until 1:50 and were waiting on almost every hole. Didn't get time to finish as sundown is 5:30. Walked off hole 15 about 6 in the dark.

I want my 6 hours back
Tee time was at 11:09 . Teed off on time. Finished 18 at 5:10p . I would never come back that is simply unacceptable.
