Mismanagement
Teed off at 1:15 on a Friday in 80 degree weather. Thought we were in for a perfect day. We never saw a cart girl and the snack shop was closed when we got there at 4:00. Pace of place and friendless of staff gets worse every singe week I play here.
Etiquette
I saw riders (carts) drove next to and left in front of the greens many times. Many divots and ball marks not fixed. They need to be educated.

3 hour front 9 at Los Lagos
The course needs to stop stuffing as many tee times as they can. Every tee box was a three group wait. Not enjoyable

SLOW
Wont see me out there again 5 and a half hour round of torcher. All these munis are doing more harm than good for the sport over booking. I would rather pay a little more for a nicer course at a better pace

5-HOUR ROUND
FIRST OF ALL - pace of play was extremely slow. We started playing around 1pm and we finished at 6pm. We played the front 9 in 3 hours, so the back 9 was played in 2 hours. WE NEVER SAW A MARSHALL try to push slower players along. We waited at the tee box of every hole starting from the 3rd hole.
We played as a FIVEsome. Our twosome was paired with 3 singles. All very nice guys, good players, great golf etiquette - no complaints. Behind us was a TWOsome, both singles. Very patient, considering they were playing behind a FIVEsome. I don't understand why the starter didn't even out the pairings. Could this be why pace of play was so slow? When a 5 TO 6 HOUR ROUND IS TYPICAL even on a Friday., I STRONGLY suggest Starter to even out the pairings and course hire a Marshall.

Very Rude Groundskeepers
Absolutely unreal. For more than half the round my foursome had workers working in the fairways and even on the tee box while we were teeing off!! All going full throttle on their motors while we’re swinging. It was almost comical. We asked them to stop on one hole then on the next they started singing and whistling. What a joke.

You will be stranded
I like to play in the late afternoon after it cools off. Last few times I have played there the carts have run out of power near 7 tee on Mesa, leaving me stranded by Home Depot. The pro shop closes at 6 pm on Mondays and so I had to walk back to the pro shop or catch a ride with another golfer. Last time I caught a ride with another foursome both of their carts ran out of power on the way back and we passed numerous stranded carts on the way back.
I spoke with the guys at the cart shack and they say they are prohibited form charging the carts until 8 pm after the electricity rates decrease.
I have spoken with other courses who have the same policy but their carts don't run out of power, indicating that the batteries on these carts are old and not fully charging.
Speaking with the management, they indicated that they are not going to change out the batteries as it would be too expensive, and that the fact that I am playing after the pro shop closes is my fault, not theirs.

Decent Experience for the Money
Got paired up with four other people at the last minute for a fivesome. We played at a decent pace but still had to wait on a few holes. The course was in Ok condition. Some fairways had really high grass, but I think they were cutting the grass that day. Not a bad course for the price. Greens were in good condition though.

You have to be in the right mindset and tolerate slow play
If you don't mind a 6 to 7 hour round this is the place to be... But they allow kids and spectators... the ranger doesn't do anything to speed up play. I haven't been able to finish on Los Lagos in 6 months because pace of place is so terrible I don't care if I don't get my money's worth because the rest of my day is more valuable.
People should not be lining up 2 ft putts and reading it like they know how to use aim point and like it matters.
If you want to play a long and more challenging course I would go somewhere else. Or try Mesa Linda which is fun and moves faster but you get tired of playing the same course over and over again.
I'm glad people are playing the game but a little courtesy would be nice and rangers that do their actual jobs would be great.
