Slow and dangerous
I've been playing there 3 times.
Very slow and dangerous. I don't know how many balls end up going over me from the guys behind us or from another fairways.
Conditions are ok (not more)

Way too long
5 1/2 hours is way too long to play this course. There were 4 groups waiting on some tee boxes. That is unacceptable,

Slow pace of play.
Could have been perfect, but d/t slow pace of play and no marshalls to to check . I can only give this course 3 star.

Poor landscaping staff
Do you the wife and the sun is down. There was a line of us waiting in a man was blowing around dust and dirt into our faces. He literally went next to our bags and through the dirt which was not very and considerate. Why couldn’t you have waited till the line was down. Also they were watering the fairways and greens everywhere. I had to hit several shots and avoid sprinklers. The greens were so much alcohol in puddles. Normally I have a good experience but this time it was poor.

After 3 holes and 1 hour playing time, I just walked off the course.

So many slow golfers
I’m not sure if it’s a cultural disconnect but many (not all) Korean golfers slow down the pace of play. Why each player doesn’t go to their ball and play ready golf is beyond my comprehension. It should not take 5 hours to play a 5000 yard par 70 course. When I tried to have a civil conversation with the Korean foursome in front of us they started talking over me and telling me to join a private course if I had a problem with them taking multiple practice swing and standing over each shot for an eternity before starting their backswing. To call them slow would be a gross under statement. When they get on the putting surface they are even worse analyzing each blade of grass between the hole and their ball. We played as a fivesome and waited on every single shot.
Mind you this is just one of multiple experiences I have had with slow playing Korean golfers. Very defensive instead of listening to constructive criticism.
This is so true! Played with four Koreans on Aug. 2 at Los Lagos and every put was examined more intently than the pros do, only to three put the ball. Nicest people though, but need to speed up their game!

Nice course but SUPER SLOW pace
Been playing Costa Mesa for 20+ years but I’ve never played a 3 hour front nine. Had to quit after nine because of the extremely slow play. Also, no marshal/commissioner seen to help speed up play. Probably won’t play there again for a while.

Fun track with a nice layout and greens.
Play often here and other then a few dry spots nice short track for iron play. Greens can be a bit challenging .overall buy for money.

Fun for the price
For an Orange County golf course, the price is very fair and the course was really fun. The holes are long and the pace of play is ok. Took my foursome about 4:45 to play because the group in front of us was slow. I would definitely play again because the value for the course is tough to beat.
