About

The layout features narrow fairways lined with trees and small, gently undulating greens. Accuracy is essential for scoring well on this golf course, especially since there are come subtle but tricky elevation changes to contend with. Even though it's a nine-hole course with only par 3s and par 4s, it still offers a great opportunity to improve your short game skills. Course is in repair
Always nice to visit Blackberry except they are in the process of a major overhaul. The two par fours have been cut in half and the yardage at the temp tees is off. At $9 or a buck a hole there are better options if I drive 10 miles more. Looking forward to their improvements..
Advertising as 9 holes deceiving.
Because of construction to adjacent land, reducing the two short par 4s to 4 short par 3s, two with temp greens takes all the charm out of the golf course. Anything more than $7 and you're better off hitting a bucket of balls. Look forward to seeing the construction finish.
Course shortened - 8th and 9th under construction
8th and 9th holes are under construction, so 2nd and 4th have been split into two holes. This would be ok but the greens in the middle of those two are utterly rubbish. Just weeds, not even a cursory mowing. Wait for the course construction to be over before playing here.
Had a great time.
It was going slow because two holes are closed. So I got paired with another player. Had a great conversation through the game. Nice place quiet and beautiful trees. Easy course.
Terrible value
This course advertises 9 hole play when in reality the 8th and 9th holes are obstructed by construction and the administration has attempted to ameliorate this situation by splitting the only two par 4's on the course into two par 3's. The result is disappointing yardage and more than 4 holes just over (or under) 100 yards. I could have taken my money to the driving range and gotten more satisfaction from my money. This course did nothing more than provide pitching practice for me. For two players (one being a compete beginner) it took us just under an hour to complete 9 holes. Take your money elsewhere, even the "hot deals" aren't worth it.
Renovations
I booked through GolfNow for a Sunday afternoon. It was never mentioned until I arrived that the course was being renovated. They took out the 8th and 9th, and the 2 par 4's were each split into 2 Par-3's. There was a little sign on the clubhouse door, but I'd already pre-paid. 2 of the par-3's have greens that used to be fairways for the Par-4's, so putting is a mess.
Cheap.
Almost always easy to get a Tee Time on short notice, especially for a single player.
Great short course for a quick 9. Same day tee times and usually no waiting.
Course and greens need some attention, especially to watering.
a cagey old vet
I used to play this course twenty years ago once a week. It is still challenging. The greens are very small and convexed, yet not too fast. I played solo so the urge to score low wasn't fueled by competition. I was behind a slow threesome and I hit more than one tee shot and approach shot on some holes, sorry. I hope they bring back the ponds as I missed the frogs splashing and an occasional lowing.
surprisingly disappointing
Ive played at blackberry enough times to know what to expect from this golf course. It is a 9 hole and being that it is public and inexpensive, you cant expect too much. Unfortunately my last visit was not up to par. Large portions of the course were flooded, many of the the tee boxes had many unprepared divots, there were many patches of dead grass all over the course. The worst was a construction fence that lined the last couple of hole of the course. It seemed like they were in the middle of a failing course overhaul. This may have all been understandable if they had made that clear before my visit. I'm really glad i booked through golfnow and did not pay full price it would have been extremely disappointing.
room for improvement
Great course for family, friendly, fairways can be improved.
At the end of the game, to top it a cold beer at the blue Pheasant and good food!
Quick, good pace, and works your putting
Nice and well maintained course. Greens hard to read so really challenges your putting..and some iron shots.
Fun executive 9 hole course
This is a fun executive 9 hole course. It is in good shape. The fairways are tight and there can be balls flying across from one to the other, but there is enough of a challenge for everyone to have a good time!
fun
Easy and fun course that you can play in about 1.5 hours or less. The elderly back it up sometimes, but everyone is super respectful. The best part of this course is the trees! Many courses are challenging, but because they are new (20-30 years old) you can pitch over any tree you come across, but at Blackberry, the pine trees are unforgiving and punish inaccuracy. Great starter course, plus it's at the base of the foothills, so the greens often have a slant or elevation which can be a challenge. I always play here after I take a lesson from a pro at a different course.
Course moves fast
Clean, friendly, and no delays. It's great that a nine hole course has some par 4's
Holes are too close to each other. Grounds aren't kept up very well.
Holes are too close to each other. Grounds aren't kept up very well. Tee boxes are uneven.
Great short game course
Features :
Small convex greens.
Good bunker placements.
Tree-lined fairways.
Bugs :
Hole number 3's tee box has been in a perpetual sorry state. Its green is also awful - unsuitable for putting.
Most of the tee boxes are not level (dont know if that is intended).
No water in the water hazards (it looks ugly).
Great course for average golfers.
The course is in pretty good shape, could use a little work and they should put water in the ponds. That would add a little challenge and it adds beauty to the course not to mention benefits the wildlife. The guys that work the proshop are very nice and accomodating.
Great 9 hole course for a beginner
This is a 9-hole course, great for the beginner. Has beautiful surroundings and the staff is very friendly and manage the course well. Has a really good restaurant with nice views of the golf course and the hills. Easy access from freeways
