Black Creek Golf Club
About
Black Creek Golf Club is an 18-hole, championship course that is conveniently situated less than an hour from Savannah. The course sprawls across acres of rolling countryside, surrounded by nothing but lush meadows and hills, providing the round with peaceful seclusion. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels and the blue tees are enough of a challenge for more advanced players. The front nine has a wide-open links-style layout that provides an interesting contrast to the back nine, which is characterized by tree-lined, narrow fairways. The greens are large and undulating and sometimes framed with strategically placed bunkers. The golf course winds through scenic coastal marshes and wetlands, which come into play on 13 holes. There is even an island green on Black Creek Golf Club's signature hole, the par-3 15th.

Nice tree lined course with different elevations
First time there and will go back. Worth the travel.
Cart paths need improvement, greens slow ( some needed repair),enjoyed the elevation changes, felt roughs too high, fairways in great shape.
Overall--really enjoyed the course fun day.
Staff very pleasant
Fun course
greens are a little bumpy but seem to be coming around.
Excellent Course, recent major improvements
My family and I frequently visit The Black Creek Golf Club. Some of us are avid golfers, some us are not. Nevertheless, this little jewel is so very welcoming, relaxing, and beautiful that we always keep ourselves apprised of all of the family-friendly events (for golfers and non-golfers!) This has always been a great little golf course, but, in 2014, under new management, this course underwent some major improvements. We were there, most recently, for this 4th of July festivities. My husband played in the Red-White-Blue Golf tournament early in the day while the kids and I (and many other families) hung out in the family-friendly grill, enjoyed the bouncy-house for the kids, and feeding the turtles and large carp in the lagoon near the pro-shop. At dark, there was an extraordinary fireworks display. During all of this, a local band (top notch band, I must add) was rocking out with some good old tunes while the adults and kids as well danced and sang along. The staff in the pro-shop and the restaurant welcomes everyone with open arms, attention to detail, and superior service. Unlike some golf clubs, Black Creek is, again, very family-friendly. The guys in the pro shop (Jason, Tom, Mike and Dan) and sweet Gretchen (the newest and most beautiful addition to the previously all-male crew) are eager and enthusiastic about helping anyone, but especially the youths, to learn the game, improve their game, and hone their skills. They have a new chef, and she and her crew are fantastic! There's a lot of goodies for the kids to choose from and the adults can choose from a variety of appetizers, adult beverages, light meals or giant juicy steaks and a variety of seafood options...and all at a very reasonable family-friendly price.
For those who are strictly in love with the great game of golf, you will Not be disappointed in the course. It is beautiful and well-tended. I cannot say enough good things about our Black Creek experiences. I can say that they claim they're planning on even more improvements and activities, but it is difficult to imagine how it could be any better. Thank you, Black Creek, for providing such a wonderful sanctuary for golfing enthusiasts and a family-friendly atmosphere for us.
Great Course
Took family to play for our traditional Father's Day outing. Great course and had a lot of fun.
Yelling at a Veteran with Anxiety
I had booked to play as a single purposely because I'm a novice at golf After the ninth hole the Marshall tried to pair me up with people I didn't know. I didn't want to so he yelled at me. I'm a veteran with Anxiety problems. After my round was over I went inside to retrieve a club I had left on the course. I asked for the club. All he could ask was why I was stomping on his hole. I tried to explain. But all he seemed to care about was how I stomped on his green. Again I tried to explain I was trying to rattle the ball that had landed on the edge of the cup. I said if I offended you I apologize. I am a veteran with anxiety issues. He said "before you come back I suggest you get a book on golf ettiquette." He also said the course reserves the right to pair anyone. Having a single person play takes up a slot where others could play too.
I replied I won't be back. Apparently this course doesn't support or know of the USGA initiative to help us vets with anxiety through golf.
I go to the course to have fun. This person took it way too serious.and ruined my day.
NICE COURSE
The course is in pretty good shape, the greens are still really slow. The counter guy is a tool. He doesn't like people to use the Golfnow cheap tee time. We stopped by the restaurant at the turn, it was closed like almost every other time I've played.
Great Course, Great Staff
Would be nice for GolfNow to say there is a tournament going on that day.
Very much enjoyed the course. Plan on returning.
Never played Black Creek, so I took this opportunity from Golf Now. Enjoyed the round, course was in great condition and look forward to playing it again.
great course , great conditions
friendly staff . course is in excellent condition as always .
Great course for valve, service and golf.
Course is in great shape. Winterizing, so the greens are slower than usual and are in great shape though. This course is a great challenging course that you need to stay in the fairways and if not, you may pay the price. But that's one of the things that makes golf good to me. Enjoyed the round.
hidden jewel
this course was great. Staff real friendly, told us they overseeded and greens were slow. So it was a fun time putting, will be fun to play again when the gut the greens down.
This course has a great layout and great maintained with fast play.
The course was very well maintained, Greens were in great shape buy were rooling very slow since they had just overseaded two months ago and they were probely not mowing to close. There are some challanging holes with some dificulty but over all great course for the money. Can shop for better priceing on GolfNow.com.
Pleasant Course for the money.
This is a nice course but the day I played the greens were annoyingly slow. First time I've had to repair ball marks in ages. A local said they are not usually this slow so I will try it again.
The clubhouse has a friendly pub, decent food, and well priced drinks.
Fun Course
Course is very fun to play with multiple hole layouts offering unique approaches. Very great value.
Best maintianed course in the area.
The course is in great shape and maintained well. No grass was in any of the sand traps. All greens were cut and in pristine condition.
This course has some great risk to reward challenges. If you are willing to take the risk the reward is great.
I had a excellent afternoon of golf on this course. The greens were fast and the ball rolled true to the line that you took. The fairwasy were in great shape, very receptive to my style of play off the tees. I hit low drives and cut on the roll to get my distance. The rough is deep, and will punish you for getting into it. Overall this is a great couse to play. I like to play an average of eight rounds of golf per month, and I like to play at a lot of different courses. There are a few courses that I like a lot, and this is one of them.
Excellent Value
This was my first time on this course, and I will be coming back to it soon. The pro and club house staff were both very friendly and helpful. The course has a solid variety of difficulty levels, which means that for newer golfers there is plenty of room to develop. Great staff, great value, great experience.
Scenic
Best value for this great course. The players I was pared with we're friendly.
sandy greens
We didn't have any trouble moving through the course. There was not but 5 people out with us. The course had its challenges that most golfers like. The problem was that the staff told us they were rolling the greens when in fact the were sanding and dragging them. Wouldn't have been a big deal, but they made a sand trap out of a few greens.
