Black Creek Golf Club
About
Black Creek Golf Club is an 18-hole, championship course that is conveniently situated less than an hour from Savannah. The course sprawls across acres of rolling countryside, surrounded by nothing but lush meadows and hills, providing the round with peaceful seclusion. The layout is player friendly enough for all skill levels and the blue tees are enough of a challenge for more advanced players. The front nine has a wide-open links-style layout that provides an interesting contrast to the back nine, which is characterized by tree-lined, narrow fairways. The greens are large and undulating and sometimes framed with strategically placed bunkers. The golf course winds through scenic coastal marshes and wetlands, which come into play on 13 holes. There is even an island green on Black Creek Golf Club's signature hole, the par-3 15th.

Very open but a lot of variety
I’m a + 10 handicap been playing for about 10 months as a golfer from the low country area this is one of my courses to go to the staff is great they are laid back the course had decent green the storms and this winter have messed up many courses this year I think it’s definitely one of the more underrated courses in the area
Greens
Greens need a little work…but they still rolled fairly good…looks like they’re working to better the coarse…that’s all you can ask…
Support this course!
first time. a very interesting and challenging layout ( for average golfers). Storms have damaged course bridges and some cart paths, and destroyed the original clubhouse. the temporary clubhouse is functional, the staff is very friendly and the course is fun. play here and you’ll have a good day and help support a deserving business.
FUN FUN Course
I found this course on GolfNow on my way back from Florida. It was not overpriced like so many in the Savannah Hilton Head area. The course was 6000 yards and you could hit driver on almost every hole, as long as you kept it in play you were always in the hole. The grains were pretty good considering the time of year.I didn’t feel there were any goofy holes or gimmicky holes It was just a lot of fun and I would definitely go back.
I guess a few years back the course lost its clubhouse and trees and a bridge or two due to a tornado so I’m sure others would be picky about some bridge detours, but I think if you go play this course, you will have a good time and that’s what’s important isn’t it?
Great course overall.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, even while playing on the course the groundskeeping staff was courteous of your play. All around excellent staff. First time playing this course. It’s winter but the upkeep of the course was in great shape even being the last week of December. Greens were in great shape, some were slow. I live 6.5 hours away from this course and we decided to give it a shot while visiting Savannah. I would definitely play it again it if I ever get back into the area. I would play it all the time if I lived in the area. Great day of golf!
Nice little course
Back nine was prettier than front nine.
Cart path beat up pretty good, but who stays on the path.
Black Creek is very nice!
We love to play Back Creek Golf Course because the staff is always very friendly and helpful and they have great deals. We are lucky to have the ability to go when it is not too busy so we really enjoy playing our 18 holes smoothly.
My wife loves to see the geese, the turtles and Mr. Woodpecker. The combination Black Creek / Golf Now is great!!
Nice layout
Decent course that was fun to play. Greens in decent shape for the time of year. Cart paths are beat up and bumpy. They are trying to figure out what to do with them as they aren’t really needed once leaving the greens and tee boxes. Nice range.
Need more food options. Good time.
Course review
Course has a driving range, golf carts are simple great and clean. Golf shop was great with food/snacks (crustable sandwich’s). For the pair fairways are great some bunkers are hard clay around the fairways, bunkers around the green are more sand like, out of 18 holes some greens were overseeded with a few greens with sand bunkers in the green. some greens ran a bit slower. Back 9 was beautiful in the woods with a drop down par 3.
Beautiful course would recommend!
