am sure this course plays quite a bit different in the summer. Every tee shot became a mudball, easy enough to lift , clean and place. The greens however had some issues, water collect in the low areas and created some major issues for the greens staff, it also left the greens inconsistent, some wet and slow and some just soggy, a summer round with firmer conditions could be fun.

By looking at the scorecard, this course looks pretty easy......let me tell you, it’s not. Although the yardage is pretty short, you must be hitting the ball straight or you will be penalized. Make sure you have your putter warmed up...the greens are challenging too.

I play in a men's group and we play here twice a week, we were playing at another local course that went into reconstruction and this course suits our players better. I have had many good rounds on this course and routinely win skins. The course is not too difficult and it is always in great shape, I know some of the maintenance crew and they do a great job!

Beautiful hilly course, great layout, greens are smooth and quick. I'd like to take this course back to Austin!

Everything about this course is good except the greens. Not meant for any sort of putting. Always aerated must be a better way. I'll be back.

Alta Sierra C.C. has always been a great place to play, but now with GN it’s quite affordable. Always kept in playing condition. Carts are clean and staff very helpful. Will play more this summer!

Love this place. It is tucked away in the Sierra foothills & playing golf where the air is clean & life is laid back is a dream come true. It's nice to get away from busy Sacramento for awhile. The course was challenging yet do-able enough for ladies (me). Friendly staff & clubhouse was large & clean. Well manicured course except hole 15 had tooo much geese poop on the green. But all in all a great day. I'll be back!

Fairly easy course, wide fairways, not a lot of hazards. See deer on course every round.

First time to this course but will be back for sure. Very well maintained, full of wildlife, and challenging but fair.

I had never played the course so I decided to play from the gold tees. Watching my ball fly in the air at this beautiful golf course was amazing. I had some difficulty trying to read the greens. They were wet and I am used to putting on fast greens. Nonetheless it was Awesome !!!

Wonderful scenic course with Lots of elevation changes, make many holes play longer that their yardage. big greens large traps, which tend to be wet coarse sand. It has always been a challenge, but not an unfair one.

So lucky to find this course on GolfNow! Beautifully nestled in the foothills. The course is extremely well groomed. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Course was challenging as there are many slopes but fun. I would definitely play this course again.
