Indian Palms Golf & Country Club - Indian/Mountain
About
This course dates back to the 1940s and carries a powerful history. Dwight Eisenhower and John Kennedy played many a round at Indian Palms, back when it was called Cochran Ranch. Eisenhower loved the place so much, he wrote his memoirs at the ranch.
The Indian nine is the longest, with the most straight-forward holes.
The Mountain nine is probably the toughest of the three, with plenty of hills out on the course and plenty of slope on the greens. The Mountain nine also boasts a rare par-4 island green

Probably was a great course in its heyday.
Old, tired, unkept. Greens were pretty quick but had a weird track pattern on them. Still putted well. Great course for beginners, high handicappers, wide fairways easy to keep in play. Houses are very near fairways on some holes.
Sadly Neglected
This may have been a nice course at one time but it looks like it has been neglected for some time. The fairways are in very poor condition and the overall condition of the course leaves a lot to be desired. It was poorly marked and hard to find the tee boxes at times. There was debris everywhere and not even basis maintenance appears to be happening. I will not be returning to play here again and suggest you can find better value elsewhere.😫😫
Reasonable value but in poor condition
Unfortunately the course is not in top condition. The fairways are dry, not enough grass and overall, not great.
Not enjoyable
I’m amazed that the homeowners surrounding the fairways don’t complain about the course conditions . It all looked tired and out of date. Yes, I was hoping of an inexpensive jewel round of golf, but nowhere near it. Lesson learned . … Nope, can’t go back.
Could be better
Ok, price was good. If you read the other reviews, they’re pretty accurate for the golf course. The guy handling the carts was great and the starter was helpful too. It could be decent, but the yardage is not well marked. Some holes have blue, white and no red markers. The scorecard doesn’t match the tee boxes 😅 For instance, the red tees were actually the second hardest, so whoever is running the course needs to take a drive on the course and sort out the confusion.
value
A little more expensive than we have paid in the past
ACCESIBLE course for the bogey player. I found the greens faster than anticipated. On balance the courses level of maintenance was good. No “ punishing” holes, but some challenges.
Overpriced and under cared for…
Really rough shape from the mis marked tee boxes to the brown weedy greens. Just a real disappointment how this course has deteriorated over the years.
Terrible shape
What terrible condition. Greens were awful and the fairways were worse. New owners need to take responsibility
Bad experience
Indian course, 5th green. The worker shaving off the green saw us and never placed back the flag. We rode two carts and both ran out of battery. Awful!
poor shape
very little care by this club,,looks like they just dont care for golfers other than members..
Not as bad as some say
After reading the reviews, my expectations were low. Fairways weren’t great, but the greens were quick and for the most part smooth. Tight, house lined course. We played Mountain and Royal. I preferred Royal. They allowed a group of 6 to play in front of us, but they actually moved along quite well. We teed off around 1:30 and finished the round.
