Indian Palms Golf & Country Club - Indian/Mountain

About
This course dates back to the 1940s and carries a powerful history. Dwight Eisenhower and John Kennedy played many a round at Indian Palms, back when it was called Cochran Ranch. Eisenhower loved the place so much, he wrote his memoirs at the ranch.
The Indian nine is the longest, with the most straight-forward holes.
The Mountain nine is probably the toughest of the three, with plenty of hills out on the course and plenty of slope on the greens. The Mountain nine also boasts a rare par-4 island green

Definitely will return again, if circumstances allow.
Would play again
Course was in rough condition as work being done on the greens and fairways. Lots of challenge in the course and will play again when in better condition.
Indians palms deceptively challenging
This is a 27th hole facility. For the most part it's a flat Golf Course, with a few holes that do have some elevation changes to them. It has a number of lakes, typical of the desert area. The layouts are quite interesting. Holes don't duplicate each other. And a number of the holes are exceptionally challenging, especially from the back tees. For the most part it has the boxes that that create a fair experience for any level of golfer. The staff is very friendly and is helpful in assuring that you get around the course in a timely manner. That could mean you end up playing the same nine twice depending on how packed the course is and whether or not all 27 holes are open. The course does need some maintenance there are a number of wet areas and a number of areas that could use so I'm touching up , especially the bunkers and some of the tee boxes. It's an extremely good value for the money. Especially with the GolfNow Hot Deal Greens fees . Also some of the local holiday vacation facilities have an agreement with the course to reimburse you for a portion of your greens fees. All in all for the value and the challenge it's a reasonable place to spend the day.
The greens were still recovering from aration but it was still a pleasant round.
A little rough….
Pace was fine, but course is in rough shape with standing water on some holes, rodent burroughs on some, poor grass on others. No cart person, and cafe was slow at the turn but the hot dog was excellent.
Ok if you just want to go out and hit a ball.
Went out early, had lots of puddles and sprinklers. Greens were fluffy and slow, bunkers unkept and many with no racks.
Indian Palms on Jan 2
We liked the friendliness of the staff. Course was quiet and we were able to play in less than 4 hours. Some beautiful holes and a few that needed some improvements. It was a beautiful day.
Good course
This course is in good, not great condition. Certainly better than last year. I think it’s a good value.
Decent winter golf
The ryegrass grow in on the course is better than has been in the past years on the two nines that are over seated. There seems to be more attention to the golf course this year, but I could use a whole lot more. As usual the greens Are pretty decent.
