Indian Palms Golf & Country Club - Indian/Mountain
About
This course dates back to the 1940s and carries a powerful history. Dwight Eisenhower and John Kennedy played many a round at Indian Palms, back when it was called Cochran Ranch. Eisenhower loved the place so much, he wrote his memoirs at the ranch.
The Indian nine is the longest, with the most straight-forward holes.
The Mountain nine is probably the toughest of the three, with plenty of hills out on the course and plenty of slope on the greens. The Mountain nine also boasts a rare par-4 island green

A little rough….
Pace was fine, but course is in rough shape with standing water on some holes, rodent burroughs on some, poor grass on others. No cart person, and cafe was slow at the turn but the hot dog was excellent.
Ok if you just want to go out and hit a ball.
Went out early, had lots of puddles and sprinklers. Greens were fluffy and slow, bunkers unkept and many with no racks.
Indian Palms on Jan 2
We liked the friendliness of the staff. Course was quiet and we were able to play in less than 4 hours. Some beautiful holes and a few that needed some improvements. It was a beautiful day.
Good course
This course is in good, not great condition. Certainly better than last year. I think it’s a good value.
Decent winter golf
The ryegrass grow in on the course is better than has been in the past years on the two nines that are over seated. There seems to be more attention to the golf course this year, but I could use a whole lot more. As usual the greens Are pretty decent.
Rough
The course was in terrible shape. Very shaggy greens, fairways looked like the end of summer. Broken sprinklers everywhere. The worst I've seen it in the last ten years. Cheaper than other options close by but if you are expecting a week maintained course you will be very disappointed.
2 different courses
Make sure to play on Indian Course, since Royal course is in really bad condition. Greens are horrible and bunkers are disgusting. I believe they shouldn’t charge you for playing at royale course. Indian course is a whole different story and it’s in really good shape. Great layout and very challenging but fun to play.
Past its glory
Course has a good layout, staff is friendly but it is in terrible condition. Sad to see the first course in the region to be in despair. All grass is dead on Royal course.
Not in good shape
Have played the Indian course last week, still 90 degrees in effect, greens still need work. First time playing the Mountain course, cart oath only, needs a lot of work everywhere.
Past its former glory
Played the Royal/Indio course. Royal was in deplorable conditions. Not a blade of green grass.
Indio had grass but too long everywhere. Ball didn’t roll on the greens.
The place is run down and in dire need of a reno.
Staff was incredible friendly, amenities are clean, course has a good layout.
Ok course
The Royal course is in need of a lot of work, first time playing the Indian, it was much better
