The Oaks Course

Staff confused about Golfnow confirmation of the. Tee time.

The course is a fun course, with a good mix of easy and challenges. It was set up this day fairly easily. But it can be a bare when they want it too.

Would’ve rated a 4.5 if it was an option. Really no concerns or issues with conditions of course. Not a long course but a really fun course to play. I would put it on a regular rotation to play if we could get a deal there

This is a fun course with great scoring opportunities. However it's a bit dry out there today, looks like the course could use a little rain. Also the greens have been recently sanded and could be pretty fast, but unpredictable. Played after a tournament so I pretty much had the course to myself, finished in 2.5 hrs.

The Oaks will expose your putting hame very tough but one of the best courses out there

If you like to bomb the ball, this isn't the course for you. Fairways are very tight, and the rough is hungry for golf balls. This was made even harder with the range being closed. First timers will struggle with blind tee shots onto rock hard fairways, which can lead to lost balls even if you think you hit it perfect. Aside from the gimmicky layout of most of the holes, the most baffling/frustrating thing about this course was the flier lies. This would be okay if it was just in the rough, but even the fairways had this problem! Combined with greens that were, shall we say, less than receptive, approach shots felt like more of a chore than a challenge. However, the greens rolled true and the tee boxes were very nice. I'm sure the short-and-straight crowd would enjoy this course much more than I did.

I love the simple challenges and the opportunity to just let it fly. The staff by far is the most friendly and knowledgeable people in the public golf world. THEY AREN'T SNOOTY!!!

No complaints here. Great course, practice facility. Greens were near perfect. I'll be back again.

Best greens I’ve seen this year. I started in soggy conditions and played 36 because the course was basically empty. As the day went on the greens dried and got faster and faster. They were unbelievably pure, not a divot in sight. Grain direction is king here when putting and chipping. If this course was closer to me it would be the only one I would play.

Fairways and greens are in great condition, the greens was rolling fast, pace of play very very slow, staff. Was friendly. They need to I force the dress code policy, golfers wear and thing, disrespecting the beautiful course.

This course is absolutely beautiful and in my opinion, very friendly. It’s challenging but not intimidating. I’m somewhat surprised that it is a public course. However, when we got to the course, we were told that they didn’t receive our reservation from GolfNow and our tee time had been filled and the morning was completely booked. Shortly after we were told this they “found” our reservation. They said we could start on #10 and hopefully, when we made the turn, the front nine would be fairly clear. After our tee off on #17, the marshal stopped us and told us to proceed to #1, that there was a short window that we could fit in and not upset the next group. We played three holes before the next group ever tee’d off. Even though the course was beautiful and we did have fun, our mood was dampened a bit.

Great Shape as always we all enjoyed the only reason I gave a rating of 3 stars for pace because it had a threesome playing from the tips and foursome on a date with there girlfriends and sometimes they were letting them hit and holding up the course a little and the for the threesome just because you can drive the ball a long distance it doesn’t mean you can play from the tips other than the pace issues the course is always one of our favorites no complaints about the facilities.
