Plays longer than the yardage
I've now played St. Marks 3 times and will certainly make it a regular stop among courses I play. Course was in great shape overall. If you're not a long hitter, play the gold or else it's a long day. Long holes, especially the par 3's. Some unique holes. Definitely will be back. The grill is also a plus after your round. Good food and cold beer.
St Marks Golf Course
The staff in the pro shop and snack bar are 1st class.
Very slow round with 2 foursomes basically playing together followed by a foursome of drunk first timers but it happens. Course was in good shape and staff was friendly
One of the best around
Play that courses many time !!!! Always in great nice shape staff are helpful can’t wait to play there again
Really fun course
Not too long. Fairways and greens are in good shape. A couple of the tee boxes need work but not something to complain about. Drove thirty minutes to play here. Definitely going to play here again.
Could be good, but
The course is okay, pretty flat and boring layout with only a few decent holes, none of which are particularly memorable. Set within a large housing community, almost all the holes are snuggly lined with homes, and most of these houses are just a few yards from the fairway making it very stressful for any shots that are a few yards off line. The pace of play is SLOW, I teed off at 7:00am the other day and had to wait on literally every hole. I expect to wait (and do) when I have played here in the afternoon or even late morning, not that early. The staff (especially in the pro shop, but also the bar) is not particularly friendly or welcoming, not rude, just cold. They are also charging $1 for a cup of tap water (bottled water is $2); which is kinda shocking to do to your paying customers while they are golfing in the 90 degree summer heat for 4.5 hours. Congratulations, you have become the Spirit airline of golf courses. I can definitely afford to pay $1 for tap water, in fact I can afford to pay even more for a course that won't nickel and dime me and will provide a decent guest (customer) experience!
Friendly Place to Play
Was welcome when arriving and made me feel that they were happy to see me and that I was supporting their course. Was hooked up with three local golfers who said that they play there twice a week. I can see why, the course was in good condition except the bunkers which needed some work. A fun and all around good experience. will be back there.
Nice course, well maintained. The greens especially were in great shape.
Carts $20 ?
This golf course is definitely a well taking care of and fun to play. Well manicured. Greens are very fast and in excellent condition. Most fairways are in very good condition along with roughs. "HIT 'EM STRAIGHT" Though most fairways are fairly wide they are lined with houses on both sides, some have glass or plexiglas fences and enclosed patios with glass windows... "BRING YOUR A GAME" Back 9 a bit more challenging with some awesome views.
great day
course , fairways and greens in excellent condition,
Decent amidst the pandemic
They have a fairly good check in process as other courses I’ve been to have shown. Course is in good shape and driving range and putting green open ahead of others.
My only con to mention is the very steep charge for cart rental. I feel as a disabled senior it’s an <extra> charge I’m not willing to pay($20). Makes the round a whopping $80, which I’d rather pay and play elsewhere.
Great, but carts are not worth 20 dlls.
Not sure if paying 20 dlls for a cart is a fair price, but overall a great course to play in.
Good solid track
I booked on golfnow which stated that cart is included but the guy in the proshop disagreed. I don't mind ponying up an extra 10 bucks but, make sure the golf now app and the course are speaking to each other. That kind of stuff is infuriating.
Course was a very fun layout with some open holes, some tight holes, and some very technically challenging holes. There are some water hazard that come into play. Bunkers were wet but well raked and well maintained. Tee boxes for the most part were pretty well kept. Greens were softer but rolled relatively fast. Pace of play was quick at ~4 hours.
It's just a good, solid, decent course. I'll go back sometime, I'm sure.
Everything is green!
Classic golf course that’s in great condition. Greens a tad slow, but nice.
Staff was great.
