PRAISE SAINT MARK
I was seeking another new local golf course to sneak away from family obligations during the morning and not risk being stuck on the golf course for 6+ hours and miss the US Open finale. I was greeted by two warm and friendly employees in the pro shop who welcomed me to the course and offered some local expertise for this first time, single player. It was made blatantly obvious that everyone employed at St. Mark on and around the course, pro shop, and restaurant value hospitality, friendliness, and positivity. The people here make the experience supremely enjoyable... and the golf course aint bad either. There is a good variety of different length and shaped holes that demand well-struck and creative shots. I played during a cool, wet morning, so there wasn't much roll in the fairways and the greens were very receptive. It is a great golf course and friendly community that make this an experience worth many future returns.
Great Time
Always an enjoyable time playing st marks. Will definitely be coming back.
Great Father’s Day golf
Really like st marks especially the greens they were a little slower than we all are used to but I like that.they hold amazing and true.a little slow start but the group ahead let us play through after 4-5 holes which made the day awesome.4 1/4 hour round great will definitely be playing there again and again
Awesome Day
The course was in great condition. The pace of play was perfect and the staff couldn’t have been nicer.
Great value for the money. Close to home makes it very convenient. Easy to book online with 10% automatic discount.
Great value, great course
Tee time at 7:15 and finished at 10. Greens were in great condition. I’m guessing that’s from a combination of the recent rains and maintenance by the staff. Didn’t notice any pitchmarks on the greens either so that means players did their best to repair them. That’s always a good sign.
Course layout was straightforward but also challenging enough where you used the entire bag for approach shots.
At $40, it’s hard to beat the overall value/experience here at st. Marks.
We quit after the 12th hole as this was going to be a 6 hour round. I think it was because of a ladies tournament as the whole course was really backed up. I will now check in advance if there are any tournaments on the day I want to play.
Best value with Golfnow
With the exception of some some spots on a few of the fairways on the front 9, the course overall was in great condition. Especially the greens, but to be fair, they are almost always in great shape.
Great course, bad greens
This course is a lot of fun! Challenging holes, but a great layout! The only issues I had is that the pace of play out here is very slow, no Marshall’s, and the greens while they look great, are actually very bumpy!! The greens need a little bit of work! But I really enjoy this course!
A beauty
Just green carpet stuck at the base of the San Marcos hills.... tricky well manicured greens guard the short course, so take advantage of your good shot la and put the rest under the hole for a chance to save par!!! Enjoy
Great Greens
Tee’d off at 7am on Easter and played as a twosome in well under 4 hours. Super fun, great greens and overall solid shape and condition. For $48 it was an absolute steal. San Diego courses trump Los Angeles courses!
