The Marks!
This course was fun. The staff was friendly and the pace of play was good. Will play here again.
Solid as always
Pace of play was a bit slow, but the course was packed. The course was in good condition and it is always a good time here. Food afterwards was and always is solid as well. It was a tad pricey on the weekends but you split the charge for the cart of you rode with someone.
Fun Time- A tad misleading
good place for bogey golfers IF your ball goes straight-ish...frequently houses on at least one side of the fairway.
I found $20 for a cart (on an otherwise economical outting) an unwelcome surprise.
Friendly course
Really enjoy this course. Good value. Rough can be tough. Especially in the early morning when still wet. Todays round was under 4hrs! Whens the last time that happened?
Absolutely recommend.
Fun course to play. A few blind holes makes it challenging for an intermediate player like myself. I used every club in my bag.
I will definitely play it regularly. I know my wife will enjoy it as well!
Hit the Mark at St. Mark
Well layed our course with just enough length and difficulty for good golfers but enjoyable for those in the nineties. Good chance to shoot low scores. Hole 14 is classic.
A good value and fun!
I’ve always enjoyed playing this course. Staff friendly, great food and vibe. Covid precautions taken very good,. I feel safe.
Course layout is good for every level of golfer though lower handicaps may not find it as challenging as they'd like. Practice are is generous.
Pace of play in my early afternoon round was perfect.
Course conditions today was probably the only small negative. It was wet to soggy in spots with some small areas of deep mud. I’m not sure why this is but watering seems uneven.
Having said that, it was a great day on a laid back course and during these times, an island of calm and relaxation.
Try the food and beverages after your round, you won’t regret it!
Plays longer than the yardage
I've now played St. Marks 3 times and will certainly make it a regular stop among courses I play. Course was in great shape overall. If you're not a long hitter, play the gold or else it's a long day. Long holes, especially the par 3's. Some unique holes. Definitely will be back. The grill is also a plus after your round. Good food and cold beer.
St Marks Golf Course
The staff in the pro shop and snack bar are 1st class.
Very slow round with 2 foursomes basically playing together followed by a foursome of drunk first timers but it happens. Course was in good shape and staff was friendly
One of the best around
Play that courses many time !!!! Always in great nice shape staff are helpful can’t wait to play there again
Really fun course
Not too long. Fairways and greens are in good shape. A couple of the tee boxes need work but not something to complain about. Drove thirty minutes to play here. Definitely going to play here again.
Could be good, but
The course is okay, pretty flat and boring layout with only a few decent holes, none of which are particularly memorable. Set within a large housing community, almost all the holes are snuggly lined with homes, and most of these houses are just a few yards from the fairway making it very stressful for any shots that are a few yards off line. The pace of play is SLOW, I teed off at 7:00am the other day and had to wait on literally every hole. I expect to wait (and do) when I have played here in the afternoon or even late morning, not that early. The staff (especially in the pro shop, but also the bar) is not particularly friendly or welcoming, not rude, just cold. They are also charging $1 for a cup of tap water (bottled water is $2); which is kinda shocking to do to your paying customers while they are golfing in the 90 degree summer heat for 4.5 hours. Congratulations, you have become the Spirit airline of golf courses. I can definitely afford to pay $1 for tap water, in fact I can afford to pay even more for a course that won't nickel and dime me and will provide a decent guest (customer) experience!
Friendly Place to Play
Was welcome when arriving and made me feel that they were happy to see me and that I was supporting their course. Was hooked up with three local golfers who said that they play there twice a week. I can see why, the course was in good condition except the bunkers which needed some work. A fun and all around good experience. will be back there.
