Excellent 9 Hole course
I’ve only just started golf and have been trying to play all of the small par 3 9 hole courses around Greater London, the course is excellently kept and designed and I thoroughly enjoyed my game here. Highly recommended if looking for a par 3 9 hole course
Great beginner friendly course
Went with my Dad for a light 9 holes had a lot of fun, scenic course with very friendly staff and good clubs for hire definitely coming again
It's really a Pitch and Putt but its actually kinda cute
I have to be honest, for barely a fiver and a council run course this was a lot of fun.
If you just want to drag a Nine iron or a pitching wedge along with you and your putter, you're presented with some great holes to practice your lay ups and mid range shots down a few beautiful tree laden alleys.
Don't get me wrong though, I paid about a fiver for this round and I'd say that's about right for what you're getting. A decent player will go round solo in about 45 minutes.
The greens could use some work but who really cares about putting anyway right?
be careful with going full beans though. I blasted way over most of the holes while teeing off with a nine iron off the floor. Not meaning to brag seriously but some of these holes are less than 70 meters long.
Anyway, if your kid or bestie are learning how to play and you want to take them for their first round in a friendly, fun and affordable location then this is the place for you.
Poor course conditions
Very boggy, not worth playing on. Greens were terrible
Not a "golf course".
This should not be called a golf course. A sort of wedge practice area is more suitable description.
All holes range from 70 to 130 yards. In place of tees, it has mats. Greens are unkempt.
Errant strikes can put players in peril.
Metro Golf Par 3
An extremely casual Par 3. Perfect for practicing chips and puts. All "tee" shots off a mat. Spend some time on the driving range, then head to the par 3 course. A nice afternoon to loosen up your swing.
Cheap. More a kids course than adults.
Very cheap and poor. You could throw the ball to the greens instead of hit. I had a grandad and 3 kids infront which was sweet because he left me through and then I sort of became a teacher to them as the kids looked at me as if I was Dustin Johnson or something! But very cheap, very short, greens are the size of a car park space and grass length of your garden. won't be going again.
Shame
There didn`t seem to have been any maintenance during lockdown. Disappointed.
So Much potential
This was the 1st time playing this course & in spite of the conditions, thought it wasn't bad (if not worth the money). The greens need attending to & the fairways tidying up. I took my son in law for his 1st golfing experience & was sadly disappointed. I can only assume the current pandemic is the cause of this lack of care in maintenance. Prepared to give it another go when normality resumes.
For beginners
Very short course. Greens are tiny and some of them poorly maintained. Not worth the money to be honest
